Scrub that sh!t off

I've tried some scents that smelled like heaven on paper and like buttocks on skin. I tried a loofah, dish soap, alcohol... the stench was still there!!!

How do you scrub that sh!t off?

Vinegar should do the trick

Thanks! I've never tried that.

african black soap... in some forms, it's strong enough to pull a layer of skin off (it seems)

That's what I'm talking about! There's a Ghanaian store in my neighborhood that imports.

What's that bright blue gel with the coarse grains in it that builders and decorators use to remove paints, solvents and cement?

That stuff.

I also find that the alcohol anti-bacterial hand gel you get in hospitals removes pretty much any trace of smell. At least it does on me.

I soak in the tub for half an hour, then take a shower.

My showers are 10 minutes long. 30 min then a shower sounds like a lot to me, but hey, if that's what it takes, I'll soak in a bathtub with vinegar, and then scrub with African soap!

If all else fails, use a cheese grater

SWARFEGA!

That's what the gel is called.

Although now I think of it more, I believe it's actually green.....

(google images swarfega.......)

.......yep, mostly green however it does look like there's a blue one too.

I think if I was really struggling to remove something, I would probably shower using an exfoliant gel. Either that, or I would use the alcohol gel that great_badir mentioned. These are very cheap and widely available.

This was gonna piss me off until I figured out what the American stuff we have for this kind of thing is. Finally I remembered it's name.

Gojo is what it's called.

God, this sounds like a terrible situation. Which fragrances are you referring to that have such split personalities? I'm sure we can all learn something from your experiences.

Thanks for the tips guys! I have plenty of vinegar, so I'll try that on my next "scrubber". If that doesn't work, I'll try your other recommendations.

Just use water and soap, and gently wash the area you sprayed it on for 4-5 minutes.

I'm really really enjoying this thread. I do the shower routine too in such cases and it mostly works.

Dial Gold. Atomic clean, soapy scent destroys everything around it.
