Gianfranco Ferre for men 2007

I think I made a mistake;today I bought a bottle of Ferre for men after reading many good reviews about it.Well,to make a long story short,I think everyting I read was about the classic for Men version from 1987 and thats not the one I bought.Anybody with some positive experience with the 2007 version?
I like to hear some opinions.

Meh. I did not think it was anything special or worth purchasing.

It's........okay. But it's a completely different frag from the "classic" for men.

Most Ferre scents I find are either just okay or, as is the case with GFF Uomo (which was originally intended to replace the classic one, but in the end it didn't because it was) terrible. They seemed to have caught lightning in a bottle with the original.

A lighter version of Dior Homme. Nice, but fleeting.

yea its like a weaker version of Dior homme....the scent itself was not something i would like to own a full bottle of

I went back to the shop and changed it for a big bottle Dior Homme,same price.
I look further for the 1987 version.Thanks.

I made the same mistake you did, thinking I was buying the original. Yes, it's like a lighter, more synthetic smelling Dior Homme, but not nearly as good. I had no choice but to keep it. It smells better worn normally than it does on a blotter or sprayed on a spot on your arm. The sillage is more pleasant than smelling it up close.
