Any Anglia fans on the boards?

Hi,

Being relatively new to the fragrance world, I've spent quite a bit of time learning about the older houses. I was really interested in Crown, and sad that they're no longer around.

I did read about Anglia taking over some of their formulas, and have ordered a few samples.

Just wondering if anyone else is sampling/wearing the Anglia colognes.

My samples arrived today. I ordered five, but they sent eight. That was a nice surprise!

I'm glad to see this note. I hope you get some responses, I'm interested in the Crown & Anglia connection. You got a nice assortment. I'm super-interested in Marquis !

I'm a big fan of Crown perfumery and have a bunch of bottles that I have collected through the years. My prize possessions are the Crown Marquis which is simply one of the best Green scents I have ever smelled. I have a few of those bottles and will never get rid of them. I have found the Anglia recreations to be a bit weaker than the old crown scents. They are still fairly true to the scents but they just seem to use a little cheaper materials than what crown may have used. Either way they are nice for the price.

So, I wore Russian Water yesterday - I'll be posting a review, I really liked it!

Today is Spiced Limes. It is wonderful, but only lasted about 2 hours before it was undetectable by me or by my admin when she smelled my wrist.

Re: Spiced Limes. Citrus scents are notoriously short-lived, I'd say two hours is pretty good!

My Crown Spiced Limes lasts considerably longer, albeit very subtly so on the drydown. I'd say a good 5 hours, and I can still smell it on my skin at day's end.

My fav is Sandringham from the old Crown line. I don't know if this made it to he new Anglia lineup.
