Older top non niche fragrances

What are some OLDER (i.e. pre 2005) top non niche fragrances that you guys like with good longevity? Something that's not super mainstream so no Armanis, etc. I realize this is slightly subjective but appreciate the feedback as I'm looking to try something new, just not sure in what direction. Something like Eau Savage , Live Jazz, etc. are the sort of suggestions I'm looking for.

Thanks for help.

My wardrobe (I hate that word) :
- Creed MI
- Tauer L'air du desert..
- Acqua Di Parma
- Rive Gauche
- Xeryes Rouge
- Azarro Homme
- Versace Dreamer

"not super mainsteam like Aramis" doesn't define it well enough for me, but here's a shot from my own direct experience. I would doubt anyone outside other fume heads likely know most of these. Your wardrobe strikes me as young-ish, but here's some to mull over...

Versace L'Homme (1984) Ya gotta sample this one. One of the few I openly "sell." They'll never see it coming when you wear this.

Boucheron Pour Homme (1991) Elegant, strong citrus, a tad mature.

Bvlgari Black (1998) Unique and a bit odd; a kind of cult hit.

Antaeus (1981) A legend. Even the reformulated version available rocks.

VC&A Pour Homme (1978) You want sillage?!?! Power!?!? People you know will smell it when you think about putting this on.

KOUROS (1981) You'll love it or hate it like everyone else, but it is a MUST sample if you're in here. If they create a male frag Hall of Fame, Kouros is grandfathered in first round like Ruth and Cobb. You might blow chunks and hate my guts, but you'll thank me someday. Probably around 400 posts or so.

Edit: Prodded by another poster, adding:

Habit Rouge (1965) I'm still wrestling with this semi bad boy from the 60s myself. But it is highly regarded by many and known by few outside of BN. They have an EdP version out subtitled "Beau Cavalier" which is a bit smoother and more refined than the more common EdT.
