I couldn't smell it anymore - but she sure could

One thing about Terre D-Hermes parfum is that I can't smell it anymore on myself after a couple of hours (as opposed to the EDT which seems to last for hours.) Yesterday morning I applied some at 0630 before going to work. Later in the day at the pool for my lunch swim, I was walking out to a lane to get in the water and a lifeguard was walking behind me talking with another lady ..... she stops in mid-sentence and says, "I can smell you Bob - boy you smell good" whereupon the other lady also says "I smell you too". Then the lifeguard runs up to me to get a closer smell and begins sniffing my neck and goes, "MMMMMMMM - that is good; my favorite!"

I won't worry about longevity anymore.

Same thing happened to me a couple of days ago.
I have a girlfriend (just a friend) who absolutely
love Dior Homme, so, of course, I always wear that
when around her.
Now, I can't smell it after about 2 hours, but last
time I went to her house, she said I smelled delicious
5 hours after I last sprayed myself. I asked her, 'can
you really smell that?' ... 'Oh yes, of course' she said.
Hell yeah..!

I guess there is something about that nose fatigue after
all..!

Viva Dior!

Hey, Italian Stallion, how the hell could you join BN
in the godforsaken year of 1970?!
Might as well have joined in the medieval times!

TDH lasts forever

This is why complaints about longevity should always be taken with a grain of salt. YOU may not be able to smell what you put on a couple of hours ago, but chances are pretty good that others can. Of course, there are exceptions but, more often than not, the stuff is still wafting about.

Yeah I sprayed 3 sprays of Tabu and thought it was weak but actually i smoked out a classroom. Olfactory fatigue is a bitch.

Creed Original Vetiver - gone in 60 seconds, as far as I'm concerned. Still broadcasting in stereo HD hours later, to the rest of the world. Be careful about this one. Rapid scent fatigue has been my experience.

Sometime I just spray on the back of my neck and just above my ankles. That way I avoid olfactory fatigue, and get nice wafts throughout the day. It also lets me smell the world around me without everything being distorted by my fragrance.
