Wanted to make this easy for all to see which is popular with men in this line. Wish I could poll the women as well, but the moderators will have something to say about posting this poll twice. Anyway, this poll is for fans of Malle or not, and for your convenience.

I don't know the whole range, but I went with Vetiver Extraordinaire. It really blew me away the first time I tried it.

Edit:

Doh! I've just realised that it's multiple choice. I would have voted for Carnal Flower and Noir Epices as well.

Nice idea - you put Angeliques sous la Pluie twice though - a little bit of a subconscious slip maybe??
(That's what I voted for anyway). Oh and Bigarade Concentree isn't in the list either.
Yeah, I voted Cologne Bigarade as one of mine, even though Bigarade Concentree is the one that I like.

I'm glad you allowed us to vote for multiples, thanks!

It's a tie between Carnal Flower and En Passant for favorite, but Musc Ravageur and Vetiver Extraordinaire are great, too.

I don't know a single one of those ...

I recently went into the Dallas Barney's to check out their huge fragrance department. The sales assistants were so great that I stayed for almost an hour checking out the Malle scent "booths". The Malle specialist sprayed Carnal Flower in one of the booths for me and sprayed about 10 sprays...it was heaven! I left with samples of almost every single Malle scent. Oh, if only every scent shopping experience was like the Barney's in Dallas!!! I voted for L'eau d'Hiver because I was instantly hooked by its iris and honey goodness. It is like being hugged or something. It has some similarities to Bois Farine which is also by JC Ellena.

Vetiver Extraordinaire
Musc Ravageur

What? I was the first and only one to vote for Geranium pour Monsieur?

You and me both! I recognize the names but realized I really need to get on the ball and try some of these out! I'll get a handful of decants of the higher rated ones. After Googling, I wonder: Who online sells this brand? All I see is TPC decants on Google Shopping.

Noir Epices!
I haven't tried a single Malle, and I'm very curious about several of them, namely Musc Ravageur, Bois d'Orage, Geranium Pour Monsieur, Noir Epices, and L'Eau d'Hiver. Perhaps TPC has a sample pack.

I voted Carnal Flower. But Vetiver Extraordinaire comes a close second..
I don't own any from the house, and I haven't smelled all of them. At one point I smelled a dozen or so, and Noir Epices, Musc Ravageur, and Vetiver Extraordinaire were the stand outs that I would have bought in a perfect world.

I'm glad the poll is multiple choice so I could vote for all three of them.

I don't generally like them very much - find many of them somewhat "overproduced".
I do like vetiver extrordinaire and to a cwertain extent, cologne bigarade (not concentree)
I've only tried a sample of the Vetiver Extraordinaire and while I thought it was a nice scent, it didn't floor me.

I love Le Parfum de Thérese and Noir Epice.
Both very different, but discernable in the crowd.

Neither did I a couple of years ago . . . how time flies. I now own several and have also had the pleasure of spending an hour or so talking to Frederic Malle with a couple of basenotes friends here a few weeks ago.

I voted a few - French Lover & Noir Epices are the two I probably wear most, but I have a soft spot for L'Eau d'Hiver (lit: "winter water") which some say is J.C. Ellena's tribute to Apres l'Ondee. I asked M. Malle about the story behind this one and the thing that struck me was when he said that during the process of developing the scent J.C.E was, apparantly, adamant that he would not use vanilla. I can only suppose that the subject had come up and it might have been considered as a note to add warmth or something? It's an unusual (and to some, unremarkable - at least initially) scent but I'm glad I bought it because it's great for a quiet Saturday stroll in winter when you just wanna think . . . or not. I think it's a masterpiece, personally.
