I always enjoy these money-is-no-object, hypothetical, perfume-purchase scenarios. Just like my thought world, in a thread.

So, based on your current infatuations, if money weren't an object, which five full bottles would you purchase right away, either for the beauty of the bottle, or for the wonder of the scent?

Today I'd pick:

Acqua di Biella Kid Mohair (this bottle is beautiful ,too!)
Histoires de Parfum Colette 1873
Amouage Dia (the big one)
Amouage Homage
Guerlain Parure bee bottle 125 ml

A bottle of En Passant and Carnal Flower

A bottle of Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia in parfum extrait - and I don't even know what it smells like.

A bottle of Pure Oud, just because it's my favorite oud among the current oudpocalypse.

A large bottle of one of the Tom Ford's, more for the bottle than the juice, but I'd go for Moss Breches and decant to the needy.

That's it. No fifth one yet. I'd set that remaining bit aside for a visit to a Guerlain boutique or maybe Roja Dove's. Towards a journey of discovery.

Thanks for this nice little exercise in "dreamlining". Now I only have figure out the cost, break it down into manageable chunks, and create a cash cow.

soooo many things I haven't had the opportunity to smell. But right now if price were no object:

1. Valle des Rois by Mira Takla (yeah I know no one's heard of it. I'd snap up that $500 bottle listed on e-bay to back up my dwindling supply in a heartbeat)
2. Chergui- backup bottle
3. Vintage Y, and with any other Y accessory products ever made
4. A Guerlain extrait
5. Another Guerlain extrait

Fracas - 2 oz limited edition extrait
Shalimar Black Mystery Parfum, extrait 1oz size
Biggest sized Creed Angelique Encens - in fact I am still lamenting walking away from bottles of this at Fortnum's last year- they were on the top shelf of the Creed section ...darn it.
Vol de Nuit extrait- need need need .
Caron's En Avion, Tabac Blond, Narcisse Noir- 1 oz sizes ,thanks very much ( maybe Poivre too, whilst we're playin' ............ )
Joy Extrait- the Baccarat $900 1 oz edition .

Is that enough................ hmm...better think again............... *GRIN*

Amouage Homage (never smelled it but I know I'll love it)

@ N_Tesla - I had no idea those gorgeous bottles some of you have are called bee bottles! Too beautiful!

Lots of good stuff mentioned before.

I haven't even sniffed some of the items I'd like to get in full bottle. But if money were no object, I wouldn't be worried about shelling out big bucks for a bottle and not liking the juice.

My list:

1) vintage Mitsouko, extrait
2) the biggest bottle of Deneuve I could find (have never sniffed this one)
3) Cher Uninhibited (I recall smelling this one in the 1980's but can't remember a thing about it. I'm sure it's lovely, though. Awesome tacky bottle, too.)
4) Ormonde Jayne Woman, extrait (I almost bought some of this for my most recent birthday. Might actually get some of this at some point.)
5) Coty Chypre (Hillaire, so jealous of your extraordinary find there! Another one I've never sniffed!)

I'm so happy to see Guerlain mentioned so often here :-) plus, it's fun to see what people would get because it gives me ideas for things to try.

OK, i'm not going to 'play along' because i don't have five bottles on the radar. However, here are my planned purchases:
-When I finish up Ma Griffe I"m replacing with Chamade pure parfum
-Citizen Queen will be replaced by Cuir Beluga
-Nahema wiht Sonoma Scent Studio's Velvet Rose

But if I got an unexpected bonus, i would buy kurkdjian's Lumierre noir pour femme. $150 is too much for this, me thinks, so it would have to be a 'what if' purchase
