When I feel disappointed or depressed I allow myself to indulge it for a short while just to vent, but then I find that re-evaluating my expectations and accomplishments (and accentuating the positive, being thankful for my many blessings) helps to put things in perspective. Sometimes we're "happy" and we don't even realize it because we're focusing on the wrong things.
