Happy St. Patrick's Day ! Don't drink too much, folks ! *GRIN*

Chanel No 5 extrait - wheeee ! *GRIN* yes, I bought it- 15 mls of of fine french glory . First time in nearly 2 decades since I owned the extrait. However , I will say it does smell different from what I remember- it is either my nose ,my memory or it HAS been reformulated. This is a brand new extrait.
I will say that it is still fabulous- that Grasse jasmine is divine. Miles better than the EDP which is ylang ylang heavy on me.

Guerlain's Idylle. The girls find it a bit boring, but I'm quite in love with it, both the rainy-prickling-nectarous top and the patchouli-fluffy drydown...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm not wearing the green but I'm wearing my favorite incense fragrance.

Amouage Jubilation XXV

It is an interesting thing to see when a perfumer chooses a particular note and composes many different explorations of that note. Olivia Giacobetti has done that with fig and Bertrand Duchaufour has done it with incense. M. Duchaufour has been responsible for what I consider to be the best incense fragrances out there; Comme des Garcons Avignon and Kyoto, L’Artisan Timbuktu, and Dzongkha. These are all distinctly different incense fragrances which stand on their own but it was the fifth incense fragrance M. Duchaufour created which took all of these first four and created my favorite incense fragrance, 2007’s Amouage Jubilation XXV.

The top of Jubilation XXV is a sweet and sour contrast of tart orange and lush berry with a pinch of coriander to spice things up. The spice deepens in the heart as bay and cinnamon usher in the frankincense accord. This incense accord, when I can pick it out by itself, is a dry austere incense. The particularly remarkable thing is by surrounding it with a woody accord and the spices it keeps the incense from being too dry and imparts a humidity to it that allows it to expand a bit. The base is one of the best intersections of amber and incense I own. The resinous qualities of the incense with the warmer soft amber make Jubilation XXV the ultimate comfort scent for me.

Jubilation XXV has excellent longevity and modest sillage.

Amouage Jubilation XXV was the masculine fragrance released in honor of the 25th anniversary of the founding of Amouage. This is a fragrance that will stand with me for the next 25 years, easily.

Have a Wild Wednesday everyone.

Undecided yet. Will probably steal someone's SotD idea. Keep'em coming, please?

Happy Birthday to all our people who celbrated yesterday and on the 15th.

Do I have to bear someone's (not mine!) contour under my stars?

Happy (belated) birthday wishes to those I missed yesterday...

Decided, finally, after shoveling the driveway -- for these people in the Twin Cities of the north, we have never reached 45F yet, hopefully today! -- in Antonia's Flowers, from *dora* (hopefully your Internet company thinks better of the situation they are in and provide your access again).

Happy St. Patrick's Day, everybody!
Today I'll be wearing Chanel No.19 and a green tweed blazer to celebrate my Irish side.

Also for the stats, SotN last night was L'Heure Bleue...
Oh, St Paddy's day! I forgot again. Oh well, I'm in MPG's Fleur d'Iris.
No green here, just a sample of Montale's Amandes Orientales and a lamb tagine to go in the slow cooker. Though actually, there is a stray green note that turns those almonds to liles and honeysuckle.
Hello everybody!

No surprises here - I'm in Clinique's perfect Aromatics Elixir again. This is my current go-to fragrance when I don't want to think about it, I just want to smell incredibly good.

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Happy Birthday to the wee Baldufita babe!
Hope that Baldufita's little one has a fun birthday!

Suffering a brief bout (I hope) of insomnia...my day ended poorly yesterday with an outrageously unprofessional email (I should clarify - I'm the recipient, not the sender.). I did take a moment to reply to the SOB (civilly) - whose nasty-gram likely is a result of his laziness and incompetence - but I think he's messed up in the head to send something so offensive through email.

I do really wonder about people who hide behind the anonymity and/or 'facelessness' of email to behave atrociously.

Anyhow, so I'm up before 4, feeling very tired of dealing with jerks...needing a hug...splashed on a bit of something nice to cheer me up (& hopefully get back to sleep)...

Boucheron by Boucheron

Now just a sample, but I think it may well be worthy of a FB one of these days. A well-done orange blossom never fails to cheer me up....even if just a little...
Well, Raindrop, at least you smell WONDERFUL! Hugs to you.

I'm off to work in Eau de Campagne, perhaps the greenest fragrance I own. Love it!

Carven - Vert et Blanc

Vintage parfum from 1946.
An insouciant aldehyde which gives a tingly green lift.
Perfect for this time of year.
Notes of gardenia, galbanum, aldehydes, clary sage, jasmine, ylang-ylang,
sandalwood, vetiver, styrax, cinnamon, benzoin, labdanum.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for my little one! She'll surely get some cake today (I won't... *sigh*)...

Blessed birthday wishes to Baldufita's little darling!

Happy Saint Patrick's Day.

Wore Montale's Golden Aoud layered with TDC's Osmanthus last night. Now, THAT was awsome!

Today I am wearing TDC's Sublime Balkiss and loving it.
Poor (((Raindrop))), hugs to you. I had my own bout of insomnia last night, thanks in part to my cat horking beside my bed.

Today I will wear knee-high green socks and Tabac Blond.

And, I will go to the dentist.

Happy St. Patrick's Day, all!

Wow, great pics, everybody!

Belated but heartfelt birthday wishes to Dora and Wordie!

RHM, I am so sorry you have to give up your new kitty!

30 Roses

Shades, have a great week off!

Spent time at Dr office yesterday, doing blood work, etc. Trying to track down the cause of my insomnia/fatigue. Probably hormone related, but not sure yet. Menopause is a bitch. (All males accept my mea culpa and talk amongst yourselves).

Yesterday's scents:
AM: Dia
PM: Eau Sauvage
Bedtime: Cristalle au Vert

Today:
AM: SS Lieu de Reves

Humongous hugs to all who are hurting or otherwise need a big one

Happy St. Patrick's Day! It never occurred to me to wear a green scent today -- yet another reason why I am glad to be a part of this community. So, I will be spritzing on something green in a few minutes, either Chanel No. 19, or Givenchy III, most likely.

Take care, all.
St Patrick's Day greetings to everyone.

Lots of green today, and I'm no different. Wearing No 19.

Such wonderful pics today. Lessa, the menopause poster really cracked me up. Ain't it the truth??

Have a great day, everyone!

Guerlain's Chamade PdT. I can literally CRAVE for this scent!

Chanel Cristalle today....that's sorta green.
Evening all,

found a bag yesterday full of samples which my DH had been kind enough to put away for me and then forgetting where he put it. There are 20-odd samples in it and I was so happy I could have cried!

That's why I'm wearing L'Artisan's Tea for Two from a sample today. I can't get enough of the stuff and I think a FB is in order.
It is a beautiful day after a weekend of stormy weather...Colony by Patou for me. It is such a happy chypre !
Quick spritz of Coco Mademoiselle this morning for work. Sicily for afternoon. This evening trying to get an impression of Tom Ford Black Orchid, it is strange stuff.
Ooops - completely forgot St. Patty's today. Didn't even wear green underwear

Happy birthday to Baldufitta's daughter.
Happy belated birthday to Wordbird!

Parfumerie Generale - Drama Nuui today. Jasmine. Not green.
Hello dear BNers - Thanks for the hugs for this silly insomniac (sigh). I did manage to go back to sleep for another hour or so...and after a quick shower to wake up (I'm always a bit "dull" after sleeplessness) - went back to my sample of

Boucheron

Good stuff, this one. Now, should I get the mini or set of minis or the FB? Rei Rien (not affil) has this cute set of minis, but then again, I really like this fragrance a LOT, so maybe the FB is a good investment . I wonder if it comes in higher strengths. too...hmmm

Wednesday is turning out a heck of a lot better than Tuesday. I don't want to bore you with the details, but doing good things for other people...it really does cancel out a lot of the anger that came with being dumped on by some ingrate.

I feel like the universe is working today...hugs to all...

Wore Fenalilla today. Changing into Havana Vanille for bed.

More earthy greenness with an evening layering experiment: Safari edp and Encre Noire. The extra dark vetiver really adds to the crisp green floral.

Afternoon: Sycomore (becoming a standard)
Evening: Bandit/BB again, over the Sycomore DD they are awesome.

That does sound like a killer combo. Nutty vetiver, rubbery vanilla, and galbanum chypre overload. Nice!
