Humid weather fragrance recommendations?

Picture this...

It is cloudy and warm. There are isolated showers that just last for a few minutes. As a result the heat comes out even more from the ground. The wind is blowing but it's not the kind you really like since the air is not cool. The skin feels sticky (not sweaty).

That's what it is like today, in Melbourne and I am just due to go in the shower. Am still wondering what to wear. What will be just the right fragrance for this kind of a day.

I have to base most of my wardrobe around what's good to wear in hot, sticky days. My top 10 is probably as follows (no order).

Hugo XY
Guerlain Eau de Cologne Imperiale
Ice*Men
Acqua di Parma Blu Mediterraneo Arancia di Capri
Swiss Army
cK one summer 2008
Kenneth Cole Reaction
Escada Moon Sparkle for Men
Kenzoair
Mugler Cologne

You sound like you need a traditional cologne. Perhaps you should bridge the gap with something like Hermes Eau d'Orange Verte?

My favorites would be Monsieur de Givenchy (1959), Eau Sauvage (1966), YSL Pour Homme (1971), and O de Lancome (1969).

I will +1 the Hugo XY suggestion from Royal. A surprisingly very good casual scent made for such weather.

Of course citrus is perfect for warm weather but especially in warm but cloudy/humid weather, I love, LOVE to wear a vetiver. VdGuerlain is always an excellent choice.

Eau de Rochas pour Homme: Monsieur de Givenchy; Vetyver de Givenchy; L' eau par Kenzo pour Homme; Caron's Yatagan (yes, I said Yatagan!); Bergamotto Marino by Gianfranco Ferre; Monsieur Balmain; Aramis by Aramis; Versace L' Homme. Even wear Habit Rouge edc formulation in our heat and humidity, as well as Zino Davidoff.

edit: can't believe I left out Mugler Cologne!

Versace Man

Whenever I smell this on me, I just think of a tall glass of ice water. Very refreshing.
