Help Me Find a Scent!

Greetings BNoters,

I'm looking for a versatile cologne to last me through the summer; a scent that is mixed citrus, and mixed aquatic. Top notes, I appreciate bergamot, lime, or oranges, and on the base, I'm a fan of tonka beans, amber, or a faint vanilla. What I'm looking to stay away from is Aqua Di Gio, Cool Water, and hopefully keep it under $70.

21 years old, graduating college and I'd like to switch scents. I've tried Lacoste, ADG, Fuel For Life, and other colognes targeted to my age group and while they don't smell too terrible; the ingredients for most of them just make them seem caustic and synthetic.

Any good suggestions?

Greatly appreciated

While it's a bit overused, and gets knocked a lot in here, it IS a good scent with good longevity and indeed a lot of women really like it, especially in your age range.

It is such a best seller, I see now they have resorted to selling it in special "collector" bottles; wood, concrete. It's the same juice you can get in CVS for $52.

HEY! This is my 1,000th post! Do I get something for free?

Seconding Live Jazz. It has a minty and citrusy opening which is very refreshing in hot weather, and when it dries down it becomes ever so slightly sweeter and less minty. My current favourite hot weather scent.

Samba Kiss Me for men is what you describe.

+1 on L'eau d'Issey. Also check out L'eau par Kenzo. It has the fruity opening you are looking for.

Thanks, in general:

I have Jazz and Balmain, and while I appreciate them both, they're more day specific. I will try Issey, D'Orange, Sun Men and Samba (haven't heard of these two, but will change that soon).
