Yesterday, I learned that Express, one of my fave clothing stores, is coming back to Fort Wayne after a 4 1/2 year hiatus. As Homer Simpson would say, "Woo hoo!"

It also gives me an opportunity to compare clothing store fragrances (as opposed to designer or niche fragrances) from the major "young/hip" clothing stores that sell men's fragrances year-round (Abercrombie & Fitch, Aeropostale, American Eagle, Express, and Hollister), and I plan on a sniff test. In the meantime, what's your favorite? Vote in the poll.

The only "clothing store" fragrances (not necessarly young/hip) I ever liked were Gap Grass, Banana Republic Classic and Zara Amber.

I voted "other." I like the orange creamsicle smell of Banana Republic's "M." Also, The Lover/The Gap, a unisex frag which is said to contain apricot and patchouli.

Banana Republic Slate, although I rarely shop there, that fragrance is one of the better ones I've smelled. I haven't smelled anything from Zara yet, but I heard their fragrances are actually decent (because they're made by Antonio Puig, I believe?). Zara's definitely in the hip and trendy category where you'd likely find me at. Express for Men's okay. Say, does H&M's fragrance by Commes Des Garcons count? LOL. It's a shame that only came out for a hot minute and sold out in a day.

Banana Republic Cordovan is my favourite, I also like the new Republic of Man and may consider picking it up once it hits discounters. Other than Fierce, I haven't tried any of the others.

I also like Banana Republic Classic and Cordovan. I'm also very fond of all three Victoria's Secret scents for men. (Very Sexy 1 and 2, Vertical)
