Good morning!

Annick Goutal Vétiver for me again.

Enjoy your day!
My SOTD is Christian Dior Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir - one of the few flankers that I think is much better than the original. Have a great day!

Notes include Sicilian lemon, hedione, aromatic notes, cedar wood, chypre accord and amber-y note.

Went to the mall and sprayed myself with Crabtree and Evelyn's Wisteria EDP. It's long lasting and lovely. I cannot make myself buy this though- it smells more like tuberose. I like it but just not enough I think .

Seems im into a lust for roses lately too so im going with the Des Sense et Des Roses by Creations Imaginez . Might be the spring A good morning to all .

Following your "Rose" theme I have decided to wear the very
lovely Paestum Rose by Eau d'Italie. I believe this was a Duchaufour
creation - a bright, incense rose with unusual notes of davana,
elemi, papyrus, opoponax and wenge wood, as well as rose,
spices and incense.
I think I am a fan of Bertrand!!

Now I'm in Fracas EDP.

Prayers and thoughts for all my loved Basenoter friends in need.
It's Carven Ma Griffe again (yes actisluna I think we generally agree on this one, but I'm still looking for the cinnamon and missing the galbanum, nevertheless I really like it).

Is this the worst perfume advert ever? Almost certainly.

Good morning and best wishes to all...

Staying in touch with Elizabeth Taylor Gardenia today.

"No trumpets sound when the important decisions of our life are made. Destiny is made known silently." Agnes De Mille

May each of us have something to trumpet about today even though no one will hear it...

Have been wearing roses for about a week now. How about Evelyn by Crabtree & Evelyn today, from 30R. decants? Sounds like a plan!

Swiss Army, I do not know if you have seen my request yesterday afternoon, but we would like to know the details of your meeting. Separate thread, maybe?

Oooooo, Babes....I LOVE it! But then I TOTALLY support an old and dear friend who claimed she could never see why she should settle for equality when she'd had superiority all along.

Meanwhile - IT'S ALL EVANGELINE's FAULT. She's gotten me hooked on Ineke.

Today it's the strange and wonderful Evening Edged in Gold. LOOKIT this interesting pyramid:

On me it's fruity and citrusy with lots of that saffron and leather and a hint of skank. Oh GAWD!!!

Aren't you all a rosy bunch this morning!! Smelling good.
I'm going with Chanel Eau Premiere.
Have a great day.

((Twolf))

I'm wearing L'Artisan Fleur d'Oranger today for a quick pick-me-up! And I'm getting my own things done for a few hours (including mountains of laundry) before going over to see Mom.

Have a great day, everyone!

I wore Guerlain's Après l'Ondée this morning but it doesn't last on me. It's cooler today, so I can put on a heavier scent for the day.

Rose lust rules, The Different Company's Rose Poivrée is perfect! Notes include Damascus rose, pepper, coriander, vetiver and civet.
Hello everybody!

I hear ya, Taolady - I'm annoyed with me too! I promised myself I would just sample. I reasoned with myself and reminded myself that full bottles aren't always necessary. Then I got this charming little Ineke set, and I liked most of them right from the start, but I told myself, "Now this is a horse of a different color! Okay, just this once, but you may only have one...one!" I was able to narrow it down to three, and I just came up with several impenetrable arguments for just getting all three, as if it was some task I'd been burdened with and just had to bite the bullet and get it all done at once. I play games with myself, and I'm manipulative.

I'm so glad you're enjoying them! You made Derring-Do sound fantastic, and it is a great name! I'm in Ineke's house with you, btw, in the vivacious citrus peony called Chemical Bonding.

Y'all have a great day!

I'm in L'Heure Bleue - the perfume that made me so interested in this incredible, enormous and ever-unfolding subject.
And I bought a little 10ml bottle of Aromatics Elixir today. I always used to think that stank! Now? Ah...

Wishing you all a good day and sending a hug to anyone who would like one.

Today, Commes Des Garcon Avignon.

Notes: frankincense, roman chamomile, cistus oil, elemi, vanilla, patchouli, palisander, ambrette

Still suprisingly unsombre on me. It feels chewy and warm and joyful. I guess that's the lack of catholic guilt

Montale White Aoud

Best to those feeling poorly and a great day to all!

I'm in Iris Poudre today... lovely...
On my left hand I've put Le Labo Iris 39 lotion (just received in mail yesterday!) under it as a test... barely changes the scent, & so far seems to be making it last longer.

I'm wearing Ambre Sultan today. It's an unplanned day off for me today! We had no cases scheduled for the day and since I worked so many hours on Tuesday, my manager asked me if I would like to stay home today. Of course I would!

Have a great day everyone!

Kingdom today.

Hugs!

Hi, everyone! Sorry I have been AWOL lately - Life's been even crazier than usual, mostly good though. I hope to be making more frequent, albeit sporadic, visits to my BN family moving forward!

Lately I've been really scattered with my scent-wearing, too... A new favorite, however, is Cape Cod Soap Co.'s Hydrangea scented body lotion. Just glorious, but light.

Chanting in unison. Same story, different state.

RHM hooked me up with a deal from her local Neiman Marcus, and a box arrived yesterday with lots of new scent samples. So today blotters and knuckles smell of lots of different things. (Blotters and knucklessounds like some kind of English dish.)

Someone smells good in here . . . oh, it's all of you!!

Wearing AL Carnet de Bal today and enjoying the last few days of my spring break. Take care, all.
It is cloudy and somewhere between winter & spring here...Vanille Tonka for me today. I just had oral surgery and that scent is comforting somehow.
Hope you feel better soon, vintage*red!

SOTD: Bandit EDP

Lots of it!

LOL at Q's "blotters and knuckles" -- agreed!

High five to NYCBoy, how is MdM on you, dear?

Glad to see ComDiva, off to check Cape Cod Soaps.

This evening something I like, but don't wear often... L'eau d'Issey Miyake Pour Homme--one of the better "fresh" scents imo. Tangy citrus with aqueous flowers and spicy woods.

Started today with Fleur de Diva, which turns out to be a light aldehyde floral. The very nice but shy cousin of big Diva, chypre queen. It might seem "old ladyish" to 20 somethings, but that doesn't bother me- and I think it represents classic perfumery well. It would have been perfect had today remained sunny and warm, but it turned cool and foggy so I switched to Incense Rose by Tauer, from a nice trade with Amit. Very resinous and warm- just can't find those roses

So it does actually bear a resemblance to Diva, it's recognizably related? If so, that's great news - I've had my eye on Fleur de Diva for a while!
