AM: Le Male - JPG
Also revisited 31 rue Cambon and Beige. Beige wins my heart immediately but no conclusion for 31 Rue Cambon... slight resemblance to No. 19, though not exactly the same.

Oh the shame! I'm currently unscented! Hang on... *scampers off, spritzes, scampers back*
Miss Dior.

Phew.
And Xmen you are very naughty for dangling vintage Fidji parfum directly over my head. I may have to PM you about that...

Have a good day all, and if you feel in need of a hug, I've got one for you.

Have a lovely day, all!
Good morning all. Today almost feels like spring ( except from the snow) so I decided that Chanel # 19 was apropriate I also chime in on the congratulations on Bluesoul and EM's engagement! Happy for you!

Oh geeze. The Kids is getting MARRIED!!???? That is just TOO cool.

Much happiness, you guys...what a wonderful BaseNotes story.

Still in the thrall of Ineke - today it's
Balmy Days and Sundays
and the name couldn't be more apt. On a light breeze come wafting ALL of my fave fleurs (Freezia - Honeysuckle - Rose and Mimosa) over new grass and the palest of musks. On me the flowers kind of drift in and out - now the freezia, now the mimosa, now the rose.

Evangeline, we must form an Inekes Anonymous. I am for sure going to invest in Evening Edged in Gold ...which had people stopping me in the streets. And the amazing Field Notes From Paris when I have exhausted the decants a generous BNer has offered. (Have already bought Chemical Bonding.)

Good morning!

Yesterday I made a new discovery and was smitten by Body Fantasies Fresh White Musk so that is my poison of choice today...light and long lasting.

"The voyage of discovery lies not in finding new landscapes, but in having new eyes." Marcel Proust

May each of us view the familiar from a different angle, the better to appreciate...

Kumquat

Caron - Narcisse Noir
One of the earliest oriental parfums created in 1911 by Ernest Daltroff;
with top notes of bergamot, mandarin, pettitgrian and lemon,
heart notes of jasmine, rose, orange flower and narcissus,
on base notes of civet, sandalwood and musk.

Welcome Spring, Glorious Spring!
The scent of golden daffodils is perfectly emphasized in this vintage juice.

One of my favorite quotes and its rhythm not undermined by translation either.

Getting to know Sel de Vetiver a cappella.

Congrats to the newly-engaged and happy Saturday to all.

Jo Malone Dark Amber and Ginger Lily for me, layered over Avon Chic in Black body cream. (The two smell remarkably alike and the Avon makes a good, inexpensive extender for the fleeting Jo Malone.)
Beautiful photo Kumquat!
I'm trying to enjoy all my own daffodils, hyacinths, freezias and tulips, but my constant coughing and a bad headache (caused by the coughs!) are keeping me inside..at least I can smell again!
Spritzed some MKK this morning...no monster on me, just a wonderful dark, but light, musky skin-scent.
Have a wonderful weekend everybody!
(oh,yes,and congrats to the BN-engagement!!Cool!!)

Commes des Garcons Avignon front and centre, Czech & Speak Oxford & Cambridge on the wrists. Going for homebrew Encense et Lavande, but the Oxford and Cambridge is a bit too soapy and fresh and the hairdye (much overdue) is overpowering everything atm!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Another fantastic photo, Miss Kumquat. And I nearly spit tea on my keyboard when I noticed the "smellier than thou".

It's sunny here, but blustering winds have been causing havoc all morning. I really wish I had a sample of Vent Vert for this occassion

Lacking that, am wearing Chamade EDC I will have to visit Mr Guerlain's site to figure out the era of this bottle. The box says contains SD Alcohol 39-C, Fragrance, Water. Guerlain Inc, Somers N.Y 10589.
Love the heartnotes.....

Edited to add: No joy at Mr G's site. Found a 1983 NY Times article about Somers NY which says it is home to "Guerlain Inc., which operates a perfume packaging plant" for over 10 years. It's still down to the bottle and box style which will help date my juice.

Evening all,

just a quick stop to say hello. Having a bad time with my arthritis and haven't got any energy to do anything these days. Been off sick from work since I hardly can stand on my feet, let alone walk or run around after the kids at work. I'm currently awaiting confirmation to start a new medication, but have to go through tests and xrays before hand.

Still, smelling gorgeous through this ordeal, today and yesterday in Madame Rochas vintage eau de cologne.

Gave a whirl for the first time, Yatagan by Caron. Even a girly girl like myself enjoyed wearing such a masculine fragrance.

Twolf, sorry about your toothache. You do smell nice!

I'm sticking with Santa Maria Novella this evening. Trying my sample of Melograno.

Jury still out on this one. We'll see how it develops on me!
