Frags that are Perfect to wear at the beach.

It's summer time here from where I am, and I might be going out for a 3 day trip to Boracay, Philippine's premier beach destination... I'm pretty stoked!

I might just bring one thing, and I think It's high time I bought something new, haven't bought anything since December... so the question is...

What do you wear when you hit the beach?
I'm thinking something light, fresh, and kinda natural.

I'm thinking a summery Vetiver frag might work.
Any ideas?

Well, if you're looking for summery vetiver, I might suggest you go with Roger & Gallet Vetyver. It is nothing but citrus and grassy vetiver. It does not last long, but a big bottle is cheap and can be reapplied at will. Further, there is a light skin scent that lingers after those glorious, bright first two hours, nothing you'd notice except on your own skin or that of someone very, very close.

Many great beach frags come to mind, and I'm sure you'll get some great suggestions, but since you mentioned summery vetiver, I had to put in a word for that one.

I don't find OV/Mugler Cologne all that natural or vetivery. They smell light and fresh and beachy, though, certainly. +1 on Live Jazz.

I think Tommy Bahama's Set Sail St. Barts is an amazing summer and beach scent. Typically when you think summer scents you think ADG like.. layered with citrus and pretty average. St. Barts is quite the opposite if you wanna go with something unique -- it doesn't compromise that summer/beach vibe, but it takes a chance and does a great job. Smells like tequila and lime basically.. very tropical, very invigorating, very complementing, and most importantly (at least to me) is that you won't smell like everybody else. This can be found for 20 bucks for a 3.4 oz too at places like Marshalls and TJ Maxx.

I usually reach for Creed Erolfa.

Someone mentioned Chanel Pour Homme Sport Edition Blanche and I'll agree and add the original as well. I don't like these fragrances all that much on me but I smelled the original on a waiter at the beach and it was just perfect with the salty sea air and cool sunset breezes (yes, I asked what he was wearing, it was this).

VIW seems like it should be perfect for this but something happens when I sweat and the saltiness mixes with the sweet sugary dry down, I don't know, I don't like it. I've realized strangely that this fragrance is best well preserved in the air conditioning, for me.

I think The Different Company's Sel de Vetiver and Guerlain Vetiver are perfect for this, as are Hermes Un Jardin Sur le Nil and Bulgari Aqua. All tried, tested, and approved.

When was the last time when Laguna Homme by Salvador Dali was mentioned?
Also, every Tommy Bahama fragrance I have, could be a serious contender:Set Sail St Barts,Set Sail South Seas and to a lesser extend the original Tommy Bahama For Men.

My favorite: Coppertone lotion, classic version. Perfect for the beach. Just about any other fragrance gets washed off pretty quickly.

I think it would be really cool to wear Bvlgari Aqva to the beach. From my current collection, I would choose Monsieur Balmain or Live Jazz.

Escada Sunset Heat
Le Roy de Soleil/Dali

I don't know how natural they smell, however.

Lotsa nice suggestions here, and pretty close to my choices, I got Live Jazz, Bvl Aqua and Original Vetiver, and I'd say these three would be my choice as well, Maybe even Perry Ellis red (which is close to Aqua Di Gio)

Leaning towards Mugler cologne or maybe even VIW.

Cheers for the suggestions!
