Thanks for the link. I like the reference to Fleming's actual literary reference.

I'd vote for Richard James EDT or Guerlain's Mouchoir de Monsieur.
Creed - Bois Du Portugal
Bvlgari - Pour Homme
CK - Obsession
CD - Fahrenheit

in hot summer: CD - Eau Sauvage

Clive Christianson No 1
Depends on which Bond to me. The Bond from the novels/early 60s?

Eucris, Floris 89, Habit Rouge.

Contemporary Bond in film?

More a puzzler. Maybe GIT or BdP or even Eucris. I like Eucris. Glad I read Shamu's review.
- Pour Monsieur, EdT, no doubt
- Baldessarini, Eau de Cologne Concentre
- Platinum Ëgoïste, Eau de Toilette

Good point. That's EXACTLY the kind of scent that might get "placed" in a Bond movie.

Bond doesn't wear fragrances. He thinks they're for pussies galore.

Lol - very good.

I think he'd wear Cartier Santos in either formulation, really manly but with a very sexy but subtle drydown.
According to Perfume Smellin' Things, Bond would wear Amouage Reflection Man. See this review - http://perfumesmellinthings.blogspot...ction-for.html

Seriously, they never mention fragrances for him in the novels or the movies. Stealth is important for tactical operations / spying. Sillage isn't stealthy.

True but he does also take time out to pursue, to continue the wordage, pussy galore...

He seems to be always on the clock. I guess that's the best way to do it.

Creed BdP
Nicolai New York
Opium EdP
Tiffany for Men
Patou Homme
Santal Imperial
Tabarome Millesime
Baie de Genievre
Bois d`Ombrie

I think he'd send away to the Perfumed Court or Luckyscent for samples before deciding.
Apart from the unanimously recognized Floris

something classic and immensely stylish like

Penhaligons Blenheim Bouquet
anything by Hugh Parsons
Guerlain Mouchoir de Monsieur
Van Cleef & Arpels PH
Boucheron PH

LOL
He'd wear Akon - Konvict
This item has been of interest to me and I've seen it in several threads here and other forums.

As near as I can tell, there is some evidence that author Ian Fleming liked and wore Floris 89. I've seen been debates whether it was ever mentioned in the novels as a fragrance for Bond. I have not read them all so can't say.

Trumper's Eucris evidently makes a cameo appearance in the move DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER.

supposedly bond never used cologne but this is a hypothetical thread if he did wear cologne
post #28 of 74
OOPS!!! sorry HammerFist. You're right, I meant 89
post #29 of 74
Yes, I've heard Eucris, Dunhill '34, Floris 89 and others supposedly mentioned in novels or films
but you're forgetting the best available today!
Hey, six reviews and all thumbs up

Dig it, 007!

I dont know why, but Ive always imagined Bond smelling like Amways Bois dAzur.
Aramis Havana
Giorgio for Men
Quorum
Rive Gauche
Antaeus
It's unthinkable for a bond to use any such thing non-british.

Ergo,
Ormonde Jayne, Jo Malone, Penhaligon's, Floris, and maybe Burberry are only possible contenders.

Pick the most expensive and rare woody aromatic, and you are good to go.
He needs to be stealth during a mission, so he can wear any modern Creed without any worries
but if he wants to party :
Bond No 9 Chez Bond (it's awesome)
I have not seen the new ones, but from Dr. No to On Her Majesty's Secret Service I would have to say only the classic colognes of gentleman from the most prestigious designers, e.g. Creed.

I agree also , the new 007 Daniel Craig uses Creed ( virgin island water)
I could easily outfit each 'Bond', but for now:

Daniel Craig
Bond would wear:
Jubilation Men
Epic Man
Cuiron
Tom Ford Extreme
Nicolai Pour Homme

Roger Moore Bond might have worn:
Patou PH
Santos
Equipage
Amouage Gold Men
Antaeus

2 of the 007s wear creed that we know of. Brosnan wears Mi and Craig wears VIW, so if you want to smell like 007, wear Creed because 2 of them already do.
I imagine Roger Moore wearing something simple and effective like Old Spice.
Whereas, Daniel Craig is much harder, but he is IMO a smoother person than Moore, so it would have to be something classy. Maybe a Creed...
Van Cleef & Arpels
Monsieur de Givenchy
Truefitt & Hill Spanish Leather
Penhaligon's Eau de Verveine
Guerlain Vetiver

Hey Mario, I thought that was a spoof! So 'Mojo' really exists & as of this date, it boasts 6 out 6 positive reviews! As an aside, there is another strangely named fragrance named 'Aunt Caroline's Joy Mojo' by Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab.

Uden by Xerjoff
Homme by Xerjoff
Invasion Barbare by Parfums MDCI
1872 for men by Clive Christian
Nuit des Sens by Louis Feraud
Ian Fleming aside, I think James Bond would wear what Sean Connery would wear: Jicky.

Ha! I bet he's got a signature scent instead of the many samples I have. He seems decisive like that.
I'm reminded of James Bond everytime I smell anything by Truefitt & Hill, especially Trafalgar. An English fragrance is fit for an English character.
Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
Tom Ford -Tobacco Vanille
YSL - Opium Pour Homme
Acqua di Parma - Colonia
Chanel - Egoiste

I could see GV as DC James Bond's morning wearer. TV being for night-time occasions.
i think he's got his own cologne now, manufactured by the M7. - that does other things than give out a fragrance, wait it's got to be a kourous flanker.
I agree with TF Grey Vetiver. That seems to be in character for James Bond.

Or perhaps Chez Bond for James Bond.

Also,

Creed Royal English Leather
Creed Bois du Portugal
Bond in the novels wears Floris No.89 , i think he used Tom Ford - Tobacco Vanille in casino royale, Roger Moore used Brut deodorant to defend himself in Live and Let Die...

IMO Bond should wear a classic powerhouse like Azzaro Pour Homme it will fit the bill.
Puredistance M

He is a secret agent that relies on stealth. If the bad guys could sniff him out that would not be cool. "It was your cologne that gave you away Mr Bond, now watch as I exterminate humanity from the earth to start a new golden age."lol.......not cool.

You are correct Monsieur Jacques, but do you know which batch it was that gave me away? Or indeed if I was wearing the vintage version or the reformulated one? 😊
post #58 of 74
Aramis
Diptyque's Eau Lente
Ulrich Lang's Anvers 2
Amouage Memoir Man
Kinski
Thinking of Connery first :

Creed Green Irish Tweed
LV Vetiver
Mazzolari Lui
Xerjoff Homme
Creed Royal English Leather

Roger Moore:

Clive Christian X
Clive Christan C
LV Uomo
Ormonde Jayne Man
Puredistance M

As for the other Bonds , who really cares anyways!
Can't really classify my choices as suit and tie, but here we go:

1. YSL - La Nuit De L'Homme
2. Thierry Mugler - Pure Malt
3. Creed - OS
4. Tabacco Vanille
5. Some other Tom Ford...
