HI ladies ...and good evening!!!

yesterday i bought a bottle of Jardins de Bagatelle and thought that maybe it was too flowery for a guy to use...so last night i took a shower and spray some .. altought i can see this as an 80s frag , some of the flowers i found were really delicated and mostly..organical..just like smellin the real deal...so i was thinkin on using it more often..but im still deciding cuz..well i live in Mexico and jaja people are still very MACHO here..so that brought me to the next question:

what do you think of men using flower based perfumes?

i own fleur du male , that to me is more femenine than jardins , but perhaps thats just me...

so can you , please make some recomendations on perfumes we guys that like the smell of flowers can wear...??

I think if you can wear Fleur du Male, you can freely explore any white florals you like. You've already maxed out what's considered "feminine" in western perfumery, which by and large means flowers and powder. If for nothing else, I applaud Fleur du Male for putting male on the bottle, as it gives the image-conscious masses a chance to wear a type of scent they likely wouldn't if it had "Femme" in the name.

To my nose, Fleur du Male's closet cousins are Boucheron Femme and Daphne. None of the three are my "type" of white floral, but Daphne in particular is complex and interesting.

As for me, white florals are my favorite category of fragrances. I think my top ten just now would be...

Comme des Garcons' Champaca
Estee Lauder's Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia
Frederic Malle's Carnal Flower
Frederic Malle's En Passant
Neil Morris' Gandhara
Parfums DelRae's Amoureuse
Parfumerie Generale's Tubereuse Couture
Robert Piguet's Fracas
Serge Lutens' Tubereuse Criminelle
Sonoma Scent Studio Jour Ensoleille

But there are many, many others worth exploring and enjoying. Really, the last few years have seen an outpouring of beautiful and intriguing white floral fragrances, many of which I've yet to try. It's a good time to stop and smell the flowers!

Nicely done -- wear what feels comfortable on your skin and to your nostrils!

One word for you also -- Metal (by Paco Rabanne, that is) -- oh no, it is more than one word, sorry!

I love white flowers but find straight jasmine or gardenia a little difficult to wear. But tuberose I'd happily wear esp. Tubereuse Capriceuse or Tubereuse Animale from Histoires de Parfums.

Pablo,

Go for it! The worst thing that could happen is that you'll become a babe magnet if you aren't already.

I second A LA NUIT and also recommend SL's SARRASINS.
