not counting all the mall stores and such...these have been a big disappointment to me

Versace
Ralph Lauren
Lancome
Nautica
Escada

man...just looking at that list makes me sad

I have never found a house where I can honestly say I did not like any one of its fragrances. I may not love the scent, but I do not hate them. It's all so subjective.

Penhaligon's
Shiseido*
Montale**
Gucci***
Thierry Mugler

*Shiseido had a couple af good fragrances such as Basala, Zen (white bottle)... ...but that was ages ago
**The selection consists of dozens upon dozens of fragrances, still only a couple of those are decent (Royal Aoud, Boise Vanille and maybe two or three more)
***Gucci discontinued all the good products (Gucci III, Gucci pour Homme...)

I would say in no particular order:

Penhaligons
Lacoste
Lolita Lempicka
Davidoff
Joop

Hugo Boss
Jean Paul Gaultier (too many of the same)
Issey Miyake (as above)
Penhaligon
L'artisan Parfumeur (longevity/projection issues)

There's only one house that has yet to produce a single fragrance I even slightly like:

Etat Libre d'Orange.

And I think its marketing is childish and silly. If its scents were even decent, playful marketing would be cool. But considering it is bereft of any talent, the marketing is the whole point and it comes off as crass.

I thought that too, until I gave them a chance. If you can look past their imagery they actually do have some pretty great scents. Like This I'm especially fond of.

Unfortunately, I did give them a chance. I've tried well over half their scents -- probably a higher percentage, actually, than most houses -- and am waiting for one I can stand. Like This to me smells like rotten leathery pumpkin. But that's why we're all different.

Almost any of the mainstream brands could make this list. Let's say:

Calvin Klein
Prada
Dior
Cartier

I vote Dior 5 times for creating one of the best frags of all time (Jules) to the worst frag of all time (DHI)

What the hell happened to this house?

Your little vendetta against DHI is getting really boring now.

There are so many houses out there that I haven't experienced yet so I don't have a lot to go on, but the ones that I have tried and tested and haven't liked so much are Creed, Cartier, and By Killian...not a huge fan of Thierry Mugler either.

Hugo Boss
Calvin Klein
Armani
Dolce&Gabbana
Tommy Hilfiger

I'm no fan of DHI myself, but I'm not sure I'd go this far!

This guy knows.

I would ditch Hugo Boss, and add Lacoste and that would be my list.

Dolce and Gabanna is also on the chopping block.

All of them.
