What is like By Man by Dolce & Gabbana but still in production? After reading through the reviews here on basenotes I want to try it but I cant find it anywhere apart from eBay. So what smells like By Man by D&G but still in production?

Kristiansand is probably the closest thing you will get nowadays. It is not identical (the basenotes are not as animalic) but near enough to recreate the vibe up to a point. I'd say it was unisex with a slight leaning to the masculine. Their website is kristiansandnewyork.com for any info or ordering and you should be able to get samples from The Perfumed Court to see if it meets your requirements.
By Man comparisons aside I'd say it's a decent enough stand alone fragrance to warrant investigation anyway.

I second Kristiansand, it is a nice frag and quite similar although not identical to By Man.

Is not in production anymore, but you can still find it for a great price: Very Valentino Pour Homme. The structure is similar to By Man, but Very Valentino doesn't have a pronounced leather note on its basenotes. Is more like a By Man fraicheur.

Thirded!

I tried them side by side (I have a By Man sample) and the only difference I got is that the Kristiansand was slightly spicier and therefore less sweet. I think Kristiansand is definitely a suitable substitute

I've heard it said that Kenzo Jungle is similar but never tried it.

Prada Amber pour Homme is similar to my nose, but much cleaner & without the dirty vanilla vibe

Maybe similar from the point of view that these are two fragrances with a proeminent nutmeg note. Although they look like different nutmeg interpretations on my skin. While By Man has a soft, spice nutmeg melted with its woody leather base, kenzo jungle is bright citrus at the opening, then a fierce, exotic, strong nutmeg note combined with a hot maté tea note. While By Man sounds like a more muted sophisticade fragrance, jungle is exotic and screams on me from the beggining to the end.
