Happy Easter everyone!!

I spent the day testing out Serge Lutens Iris Silver Mist which I'm not sure I actually liked. The opening felt very harsh and a bit too green for my liking, which was a shame as the descriptions I've read make it sound so lovely. I will test it again though.

Right now I'm wearing a sample of Caron Parfum Sacre on one wrist which is certainly more to my usual taste - it's lovely! On my other wrist is Osmanthus Interdite by Parfum d'Empire which is also lovely albeit a little soapy for my liking.

IS IT WRONG TO USE MUSK?
"I had some scent given to me with a strong aroma of musk, and was told by my father not to use it as 'only bad women scented themselves up with musk.' Is this true, asks '16-year-old Betty'"

I'm with Bad Betty, wearing generic Arabian Black Musk attar.

Petra, your post is delightful! On this Easter I must wear Verte Violette by L'Artisan. While spending an Easter weekend downtown, my husband sent me off to the L'Artisan store (in Chicago, a couple years ago before it closed) and told me to choose a new fragrance! I bought Verte Violette and have worn it on Easter and throughout the Springtime every year since.

I am wearing Histoire de Parfum 1969 today, perfect for a summery day.

I´m wearing Kingdom (Alexander McQueen) today. A cold, rainy, windy, dark day here.

Edit: I´m searching high and low for them illusive Easter eggs Grant has hidden God knows where...how is everybody´s hunting going?? I haven´t found one single egg yet, and if I told you how many hours I´ve spent scanning BN for them, you wouldn´t believe me...

Happy Easter to All!

Yesterday, I couldn't bring myself to wear florals for the SnS--in too much of a woody-patchouli mood, so I wore SIP Magazine Street. Then, later in the day I spotted Ralph Lauren Safari at TJMaxx, so I am testing it this morning pre-shower. I love it! It is as if somebody turned Coco into a chypre, in the direction of No.19 but without losing the spicy, rosy ambery aspects. Lovely stuff and probably my best "cheapie" buy!

I'm not sure what I'll wear today, but usually in springtime I get a hankering for narcissus...maybe Chamade or something similar will fill the bill.

Vent Vert (Vintage). What better perfume for finding Easter eggs on the lawn.

John Singer Sargent, 1886

Serge Lutens - Un Lys

A stunning soliflore of dramatic proportions.
Much as the lily in the garden; it jumps forward and stays there.
Enhanced by supporting players; sandalwood, vanilla
and the green tang of surrounding leaves, the lily rules supreme.

Hello everybody, and Happy Easter to those who celebrate. I'm wearing Pleasures today. We're leaving for the Outer Banks for a week tomorrow, and I'll probably just bring a handful of decants. I may not wear any perfume at all except sea salt! I hope everybody is well.

Happy Robert Downy Jr. birthday to all those who celebrate.

Did some burning and digging outside this a.m. Now smelling like Nanadebary Green … cuz that's what I put on.

My April 4 resolution: grant myself 20-30 minutes a day to think/read/post/smell perfume things.

Welcome back, lilybelle! Happy Easter to all who celebrate! Happy Sunday to all who do not!

C Rose, I love, love, love Murasaki -- you smell divine.

Wearing nothing at the moment, but am now tempted to put on some Murasaki. Take care, all.

OOOoooooo. Some gorgeous pix and bottles and smells today! Kumquat that is one of my FAVE Sargents (in my opinion a much underrated painter)...many thanx.

Beloved Son did a lamb roast and some more of that Mahogany Rice I was blubbering on about. The day was warm and breezy - just perfect. But had been burning some Lampe Bergere Among The Fig Trees to de-stale the downstairs and that RULLY set me off so it's

Fleur de Figuer
for the rest of the day!

Happy Easter everyone!

I'm wearing Highland Lilac of Rochester today.

I spent the whole day with Mom-- took her to services, then brought her home for dinner: rabbit, baked in Chardonnay with shallots, garlic and fresh rosemary (Mom always made rabbit for Easter dinner.) Then we watched home movies (including my dad) and went for a longish walk, then took her home. A long day, but I think it was good for her.

SotD - Nothing but "eau de gardener" until this evening, Guerlain Vetiver now.

Hope the So. Cali (Baja etc.) quakes didn't rock and roll too much for our SoCal folks!

Happy Easter Evening and hugs all 'round.

Heehee... Nice.

It was a lovely day to garden, scalped the yard with my vintage Cub Cadet (the sweetie brought me) and worked on compost and sowing seeds. Funny how a veggie garden starts out looking too big, and SWIFTLY decreases in apparent size. I'm thinking of tilling up another same-sized plot soon. A great day for green scents!

Started the day in Dior Escale Ã* Pondichéry, which is perfect for family gatherings with lots of hugging going on. Now that I am back home I can really ramp up the fumes...
I'm nearly too late to post! It's been a busy day with Easter festivities with the family ... I wore Passage d'Enfer today, it JUST reminds me of Easter with its lily and incense notes. Too bad it was the last few sprays of my decant.
SotE was Dior Hypnotic Poison from a sample...my very first gourmand ever I believe, yummy.
Getting ready for bed...with a generous spritz of Balenciaga Le Dix.

Happy to see Lilybelle back with us...

Good night everyone...see you tomorrow...
