Good Morning, dear friends!

Here I sit...home, finally! I don't ever want to go through that again. The visiting nurse will be here at 11:30. (Thank you, God!) The catheter in my kidney (the one banging up against my rib evey time I move or breathe) comes out Wednesday. Yippee!

Cindy told you about the big 'ole bag of samples. Was a good thing I had them. I felt like an inmate. "Trade you help with brushing my teeth for a perfume sample." "Thank you for changing my bandage. Here, have a purse spray." It was currency, man! The quality of nursing care dropped signifcantly when I didn't offer the samples....I experimented.

Here's what I've been wearing: in the hospital for 5 days, Chanel Cristalle Eau Verte. It has a nice crispness I enjoyed. For sleeping I wore L'Artisan Al Oudh (from a sample) top notes are: caraway, cardamom, pink pepper mixed with dried fruit, herar notes are: neroli and rose, iris, leather, castoreum and civet and a base of rare musk, sandalwood and Atlas cedar, enhanced with patchouli, incense and myrrh, vanilla and tonka bean.

At home I've been wearing Chanel Bois des Iles parfum. Also tested Bond No. 9 High Line (which I do not like), Harrods for Her (which I do like) and Bond Parfum which I am still testing.

So I'm in full recovery mode, perhaps tomorrow I'll start on the insurance & the bills.

(Enjoyed my Murasaki morning yesterday, but had to change into No. 19 yesterday afternoon while I watched Coco before Chanel DVD. )
Totally enjoyed this movie... wondering if it's 80% fiction like most movie "biographies."

Hello everybody!

I'm in Ineke's Chemical Bonding today, from a full bottle - yippee! Sending a friendly hug and a wave to Ineke co-dependant Taolady - I smell too darn good to shake my fist about it! And besides, the Easter Bunny was very nice to me and put two Inekes in my basket - CB and Balmy Days and Sundays, so color me happy...and fragrant! (A howdy to C Rose too - we're bound to be scent-twins a few times this summer!)

I nearly forgot, and even though you're off on your way again, welcome back lilybelle!

Started out cool but slightly muggy, and cloudy... I've dubbed this my Guerlain week so I started with Mitsuoko. The day is supposed to go warm and sunny, so we'll see what scent is good later.

RHM - so glad you are home and recuperating!

carnation, oakmoss, iris, woods, patchouli.

Leaning toward AL China Pearl today, so I think that'll be my choice. Take care, all.

RHM, so glad that you are home and on the mend ...

I'm wearing Todd Oldham today. I thought that something big, bold, and boozy would cheer me up.

Welcome back, RHM, and continue to get better.

I am wearing AL Chypre Noir.

Quarry - are we the only two people in the world with this i Coloniali Yuzu Body Care Water thingy? If you ever run low, I am not getting through mine especially fast!

Glad to hear RHM is on the mend.

Wearing Ecume de Rose and Eau de Gucci on different areas, with a dab of Party in Manhattan to round things off. Strange to relate I appear to be turning the Gucci skanky, and it is only a fruity floral I believe!

Welcome back RHM! When little things are annoying, you know you're feeling better!

Since I used the last of my Sarrasins this morning...and like Quarry - I need to 're-boot' my frag...I'm going to do a little over spray with some Iris Nobile, just because!

Kumquat, that is an incredible photo you posted. Breathtaking!

We've skipped spring and went straight to summer. At least, that's true for the next few days.

Wearing No 19 to celebrate all the green around us.

Have a great Monday, everyone!

Wishing RHM a speedy recovery, and wishing pleasant Spring weather to those of you with snow and chilly temperatures.

Moving on (like a kid in a candy store) with my own Week of Guerlain... I am now wearing the vintage Vol de Nuit EDT. It is subtle but keeps coming back. Very soft, very subtle, but just when I think it's gone, it wafts up. Can't wait for the SoTE, have not decided, but may go with the Shalimar since I just received that and the VdN. The Mitsuoko was lovely for the office, nobody got hurt! (LOL)

RHM, glad you're back home & recovering well.

Late posting, wore L'Instant Magic.

Red Hot...so good to have you RED HOT again. What an ordeal!

Rounding out the day in Ineke's sublime Evening Edged In Gold thanks to a WONDERful Southie BNer who's shared her goodies with me. Evangeline...it's just a question of time! We're gonna have to start our own support group!

Welcome home RHM!!! I am so glad you are feeling better. Who would have thought that perfume samples would get you better care at the hospital. I am sure those nurses are smelling much better thanks to you.

Today I wore Passage d'Enfer. One of my very favorites.

Switched to Fidji after running the vacuum cleaner. I wish my cats would stop scattering so much litter. Have a great evening, all.
