Based on a thread I posted a while back that generated mixed reception, and a few laughs. I am now doing a poll on the essence of sex to see which fragrance is truly the sexiest in this contest. Place your vote. I will allow this to count for 1 week of voting where in which there will be a second round of votes for top 4 of the 8 frags, then a final round to determine the essence of sex. Let the voting begin.

I looked at the answers on my first thread. I picked the ones most mentioned and a few of my own. Like i said it's like an election, you will get the democrat and republican candidates or in this case A men and Le male, but you will also get some others that are perhaps lower tier. I cannot put down every single frag that people want, if that were the case i would never get this done. I would have about 50 diff colognes and each with 1 vote or so how the heck would I be able to bring it to a top 4 if everyone is voting for their own? At the polls you vote for the lesser of the evils on the ballot or don't vote. Not to be a jerk but one has to draw a line to how many, so I did and I tried to put down frags that most people have smelled before.

To me it's a toss up between JPG and JV. JPG is like the benchmark in sexy fragrances in every aspect.. from its bottle to the juice inside. But, JV is hella sexy for closer more intimate encounters for sure.

Edit: But, I voted for JV because JPG has enough credibility

thanks for the input Cologneist. Jv is way darker to me , more of a dirty type of sexy like a bondage, kinky , nasty type of sexy definitely qualified for the essence of sex. Le male to me is a pure,subtle,tasteful and classy type of sexy, more like a romantic candlelight dinner and dancing with your significant other and after wards at home or hotel, clean bed , rose petals, champagne, romantic music and good ol fashioned adult fun. Le male, la nuit and fleur du male are more light and classy type of sexy. A men, Jv,and obsession are more rough, dirty and naughty type of sexy.


I think we all get images of fragrances so if anyone else wants to put their opinion on these diff frags and what images they get from these colognes feel free to write them.

Of the choice there it would have to be John Varvatos which is a great evening fragrance, well designed and blended and in my experience gets a lot of compliments from women.

There is no way on the planet that A*Men or Le Male can be deemed "sexy" as such. They're way too loud and shouty. Mind you I suppose what age group you're aiming at. If it's young women in clubs and you are trying to get noticed, wearing either of those fragrances will be like wearing a huge yellow arrow over your head saying "I'm wearing a fragrance!". I have to say they are both versatile fragrances, since they can double up as chemical weapons.

Man HDS you are harsh lol. They are strong colognes no doubt, but if you apply a little you will be alright, and i think not just women from 18-25 like them but even more mature women could like them as well. Women of all ages i think enjoy gourmands, I have had ladies as high as 40 or 50 complimenting A men. But hey Jv is a great frag in its own right and gets compliments and more reasonably priced than A men.

A*Men is just wrong, hideous and ugly. Based on all the hype around this stuff, I gave it fair number of trials. But it smells like horse shit covered up with chocolate.

Oddly enough, I'm liking LL Au Masculin and YSL Body Kouros, both of which are gourmand type colognes as well.

If someone thinks A*Men is the essence of sex, I'd be very tempted to question the salubriousness of their very sex life.

But hey - smell is subjective and all that... Whatever floats your boat.

Well, I do like "strong" fragrances (Kouros is a masterpiece in my opinion, and I'm in love with it). I'm a member of the "powerhouse users" group here at BN. It's just that I cannot stand arrant crude stuff that's loud and offensive for no good reason.

A*Men is like the teenage punk with tattoos all over his skinny face, who runs around the road yelling and jumping (he thinks he's a hero, but sadly he isn't).

This punk deserves to be be arrested and detained by a cop like Kouros or Black Aoud, both of which are loud, but for a reason!

Le male is #1, John Varvatos is number 2, A men that used to be #1 is now at a 4 way tie, with Acier, La nuit, and obsession. A men will have to win big in order to stay relevant, the other frags might see a changing of the guard. Keep the votes in guys.
