Citrusy Deliciousness? Maybe not...

Hello guys and gals! Once again I am asking for your help.

I am looking to buy a cologne for my significant other, but I have no idea what I am looking for. He knows I am *tad* bit obsessed with fragrances and sometimes says things about citrusy colognes. He likes then quite a bit actually. I recommended delicious closet queen to him a while ago and he bought it (pretty much the antithesis of citrus) but I digress... I have quite a little collection but barely any of them are "citrus" or what I would classify as such. I wore DKNY Be Delicious one day and he told me he liked it, it smelled citrusy, but I get nearly no citrus in that. Smells more like dirty apples to me. I like it, but this throws me off even more.

If you were me, what "citrus" would you look into getting? I am voyaging into new territory here as lemons and oranges aren't really my thing.

Thanks much <3

i Profumi di Firenze - Limone di Sicilia, Carthusia - Mediterraneo, Lost March - Din Dan, Boadicea - Energizer, Acqua di Parma - Colonia (either colonia, colonia assoluta or colonia intensa), Trumpers - GFT, Heeley - Oranges and Lemons - there's loads of good citrus fragrances out there

Please try out Allure Édition Blanche and Dune pout Homme!

Allure smells like lemon cremecakes ... truely delicious.
Dune is just a citrus classic ... gotta love than one!

Monsieur Balmain is very nice and inexpensive too. Lemons on top of a woody, musky base.

Depending on how old a guy he is, I'd second the recommendation of Acqua di Parma Colonia. Truly classy and rather discreet (good for someone that's not a fragrance-aholic). You could always play it safe and go with something like Terre d'Hermes, too.

P.S. I know someone who's selling some Czech & Speake Citrus Paradisi, if you're interested...

A couple good ones I can think of are Paul Smith Extreme and Zegna Z!

I recommend Bergamotto Di Calabria from AdP. Once you get past the initial lemon blast, it mellows into a light musky, earthy bergamot flavor.
