May I admit I considered it to be a blatant fake?
Will this also be an Annick Menardo creation?

Oh, and can someone link to an article or info regarding this release? thanks

EDIT: Here's what I've found so far... http://www.osmoz.com/News-Trends/New...e-of-Hugo-Boss

As I said the full information about the release will be soon. But this will be creation of P&G team and, unfortunately, not Menardo's.

No, this is real fragrance and it will be available in summer. But I don't know how they from ebay got it.

I have a feeling I'm gonna like this one, could be I'm wrong, errare humanum est, but really if the main concept of this is Boss Bottled wich I like, there is a chance for this one...

Can't see much of an upside to featuring him unless they plan on letting Scarlett sneak into the ad campaign.

Looking at the notes, I don't see any resemblance to the original... I think it's going to be like Dior Homme and Dior Homme Sport, where marketing people just try to benefit from the brand awareness of the original but come with a total new product.

Concept, not the notes I really can't tell what it'll be like, but I do think it ought to be spicy and sweet, 'cause evening frags usually are such. All that remains is to wait.

The link's not working for me, but legit ebay shops often put new releases up for sale before they're actually available - an established and legit UK 'bay shop I use frequently were taking orders for Aramis Cool Blend a week or more before it was released.

Just kidding. Doesn't surprise that certain note doesn't appeal to some people. I don't know wich note in particular upsets me, but I do know that it is Dior Fahrenheit that makes me gag, Fahrenheit Absolute is fabulous to me and if I'm not mistaken, it's most prominent notes are violet and incense.

Don't like it either... Is it me or are new releases built around a strong violet note?
Violet note does seem to show up quite often lately...

Hugo Boss Bottled. NIght. If you open the bottle, Hugo Boss will pop up, since he's been bottled. At night only, that's the meaning of the other bit.
Bad name choice, IMO!

Boss Bottled Nightflight hahahahahaha, that would be an obvious name copy of Joop Nightflight, then again Boss Bottled Black mayhaps would be a good one, then again there are so many frags with that Black in their name, among others Boss in Motion Black (very, very good fragrance IMO). So, simply ˝night˝ is probably not all that bad or tacky. Imagine if it was Boss Bottled Cassanova, or Boss Bottled Romeo, eew ! Boss Bottled Private would not be bad, although there is Davidoff Silver Shadow Private (very good frag, btw)

I smelled this the other day. It's in Debenhams and Boots stores here in Ireland. I wasn't expecting much and yet it still managed to disappoint. It smelled like nothing really. I couldn't really detect a single note as such, just a sort of generic men's edt smell. Sort of an alcochol smell, with nothing else of note. Awful stuff.

I wasn't impressed either, very disappointing new release. Doesn't have anything in common with the original one.

Yes, I thought it might be somewhat similar to the original, but a bit heavier and darker. As you say though, it doesn't seem to have anything in common with it. One of the most "nothing" scents I've smelled in a long time.

Very "Boss" scent, done in the best traditions of Boss/Hugo. I used Hugo Dark Blue long time ago, and now it is not available to compare with, but the first think that came in my head when I tried Boss Bottled.Night was: "Dark Blue!". I can be wrong, but I'm sure that the character of the juice and the specific 'Boss" note in the Night are the same as in the Dark Blue.

Boss Bottled.Night is like the mix of previous Boss scents (Selection, Hugo Element) based on Hugo Dark Blue and original Boss Bottled. It starts powdery and spicy, then becomes fresher and flowery. And finally appears that "Boss" synthetic note - something green and sweet. But the result is complex, the fragrance is modern and, I'm sure, most of men and women could find it sexy. Boss Bottled.Night is not original, but it's the best development of Boss/Hugo/Baldessarini theme for at least last 10 years.

hmm, I own Dark Blue, love that one. Now that you've mentioned it, I might want to give Boss Bottled Night a shot. I have to try it myself before I make any judgement. I wouldn't want a copy of Dark Blue, though, but if it has its vibe, then I just might like it.

Had a try at a department store of this fragrance. Nothing special. What's with 2010 releases so far...Bleu de Chanel...now this...sigh

Verdict: Stick to the original Boss Bottled aka Boss No.6
post #39 of 41
It reminds me of Obsession Night PH and Beckham Night - but doesn't quite last as long. I didn't think much of it the first half hour I tested it, then thought it was pretty good for a few hours, then it sort of disappeared.

I'm not sure what pupose Boss Bottled Night serves. I've mainly always worn the regular Boss Bottled at night - never thought it a day scent.
Renato

P.S. - I wonder if we'll ever get morning versions of scents?
Tried it today. I don't think there's any violet in it. The first woosh is great - sort of fresh and spicy - if only it lasted! (birch leaf and cardamom). It fades quickly into a generic pleasant clean smell. One word I wouldn't use to describe it is distinctive.
I've finally figured out why I don't 'Bottled Night'. It’s too sweet for a masculine fragrance and rather generic. Imagine standing in queue for a Spanish seaside disco on a warm summer evening at 11.00 pm and the smell from all the freshly sprayed youngsters, male and female, blended into one generic pleasant fragrance - That's 'Bottled Night'
