... when you step on a slug in your stocking feet! (barefoot is worse, but clean socks on a clean patio shouldn't need to be changed for that reason. Of course the slug probably also hated it for a split second.)

Oh! This happens to me sometimes. I wore PC Tuberose Gardenia the other day, and I guess got a little carried away in inhaling the top notes, as after a few minutes - it disappeared! And all I could smell was something like faint, wet cardboard. I knew it was still there from past wearings, but still...

I'm hearing you Sugan! Wearing EL Tuberose Gardenia right now and thinking of you ! Same thing happened with Carnal Flower- I know it's pretty strong but after a while I smell nada - so infuriating.

Indeed. Most annoying.

When you leave for work 20 minutes early and then have to wait 10 minutes for a train to pass, only to be stopped about 20 more times by stoplights, and end up at work 2 minutes late?

When you throw down paper towels on the floor where the cat is about to barf, and at the last second he turns his head and barfs into your shoe instead (yep, happened!)

(Oh, and the shoe he barfed into wasn't on my foot at the time.)

So very true. Didn't experience this with shoes, but my apartment in Chicago had hardwood floors galore, with only a few area rugs. Kitties most of the time managed to barf on the area rugs! Shoes, though,...ick!

Mimi, do you have sciatic pain?

If so, be aware that this pain does not always originate in the back. There is another cause of sciatica-like pains, called Piriformis syndrome. Basically this is when a spasm of the Piriformis muscle (deep to the Gluteus Maximus) causes pressure on the Sciatic nerve. This is treatable.

Thanks 30 Roses for thinking of me - Piriformis- arrggh ! I had that for 3 months when I used to run everyday . Had to give up all exercise because I could hardly walk . Terrible. Please - don't let it be piriformis again !
