Gendarme V vs. Gendarme 20

Which do you prefer?

Gendarme V for me because I like the simplicity of the Gendarme house's complication that runs toward dried suede leather. Word is there's a lot of vetiver in V as well, but I don't experience it as vetiver in the sense I'm accustomed to from myriad other vetivers. Gendarme's products are like clean linen thick with dryer sheets, but V takes the best tangent to that non-fragrance attitude.

V is more pronounced and dirty, 20 is more soothing and clean.

I prefer 20, a good lighter summer scent with some legs. I believe 20 is an EdP strength.

V. The lavender just makes 20 seem more like a generic ho-hum men's scent.

I don't know about V, but 20 has very poor longevity, and is not very strong for an EDP.

They are both great, but I like the green crisp clean scent of V. If you're in the mood for something more smooth, creamy and soothingly clean then 20 is your option because it's a tame and smooth lavender spirit.
