Looking For Some Orientals / Gourmands To Try

Hi guys,

I'm looking for some new oriental fragrances to try but have no idea what fragrances are orientals or gourmands! I'd be buying at Boots, you can see a list of their fragrances here.

The orientals I have now are Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male, Fleur De Male and Givenchy Pi. I've also tried Joop and Armani Code. Any advice of what else I could get, from Boots of course, would be appreciated.

Go sniff Serge Lutens' Chergui, Ambre Sultan or Fille en Aiguilles... Ambre Precieux by Maitre Parfumeur could be along your lines, too.

Second the Chergui. For gourmands check out Jo Malone's Black Vetyver Cafe, New Haarlem by Bond no 9 (awesome), Rochas Man, Angel Men (pure coffee, pure malt, or regular), Body Kouros (technically not a gourmand), Frederic Malle's Musc Ravageur (cinnamon, vanilla and musk).
I have some reviews up of gourmands over here on YT if you're interested.

Thanks for the replies.

I meant to ask - would orientals and groumands have quite good sillage and longevity as a rule?

I will definitely try out Rochas Man as I have seen it mentioned quite a few times on here before.

What about Davidoff's Hot Water? I got a sample of it and it's pretty nice, although reminds me of Givenchy Pi a lot.

Chergui is amazing! You must try it. It has wonderful sillage. And the longevity on me is incredible... lasts all day.
