Bois Marocain help needed

Thread Starter
I am aware that many people on here hate it, but I recntly tested Tom Ford's Bois Marocain and I can't stop thinking about it.

However, being only 18, there is no way i can spend £120 on it and I need a much cheaper alternative.

Could anybody help me? It's a kind of pine/cedar smell.

Thanks in advance.

Good news is there are two other scents that come to mind. Bad news is that they are both discontinued.

Comme Des Garcon - H&M
Gucci - Rush

You may have some luck finding Gucci Rush but the other one was a very limited (albeit affordable) release.
Now thinking about it I think the H&M is closer to Bois Marocain. Not sure I was any help at all.

I too am hopelessly smitten with the (apparently unpopular) Bois Marocain, but can't quite justify the $190 + tax price tag. (If Tom Ford sold it in a size around the $100 mark, though, I'd buy it in a second.)

Try starting a bottle split. 250ml five ways cuts the cost down.

Thanks nsamadi - that's something to consider. I am new to Basenotes so I'll have to do some sniffing around here to see what's involved.

In the meantime ... anyone interested in a bottle split of Tom Ford Bois Marocain?

Honestly, I feel that if there is something I like but it's expensive I don't go with the 2nd best. I get what I want instead. Don't settle for something that isn't what your smitten with. That's like loving the gorgeous chick, but settling with the ugly chick because she is easier to please.
