Contradiction re-formulation?

Recently purchased a bottle of CK Contradiction for Men. I have always liked the sharp lime-peppercorn-lavender combo. The latest bottle is manufactured by Coty whereas before it was stamped CK Cosmetics Corp.

The new Coty version seems to have a "creamy" base that I just can't stand. It opens with the sharpness but soon develops into something else that does not resemble the old Contradiction. I'm not sure if I got a bad bottle or Coty messed with the formula. Anyone else notice a change?

I also purchased a bottle marked with Coty, and I was not too fond of it, but it was the first time I purchased it, so I don't know how it was supposed to smell.

In another recent thread, I posted a similar experience with Acqua di Gio. If you are sure it is not fake, then maybe it's due to a huge variability between batches? I don't know. I hate the inconsistency.

I am very fond of my vintage Contradiction For Men collection. I have the cologne, aftershave, antiperspirant, deodorant, soap, and lotion. Sad to hear that it's been dinked with. Too bad. Of all the CK fragrances, this one is the most distinctive. If you can find the toiletries, buy them immediately - they're better than the cologne even. Real fragrance treasures.

I have the deodorant which is great. It is larger than other deodorants and should last for years! I am jealous of your body collection as the package design is so modern. Would look stunning in any bathroom.
