I vote YSL Pour Homme (I have the concentrated version). The longevity is great, and the lemon stays prominent throughout. Really great stuff.

I'd say if you're under 30, go YSL. Over 30 go Sauvage.
Of course I'm generalizing people, don't go to town on me

I'm over 40 and I love YSL PH. I have not tried the concentrated version.

Of the two, I say YSL pour Homme - but would recommend YSL pour Homme Haute Concentration or Eau Sauvage Fraicheur Cuir.

Definitely YSL Pour Homme.

YSL for me!!!

Eau Suavage for me
I can't stand YSL PH

I'd go for Eau Sauvage. To me it smells more sophisticated whereas YSL smells raw and edgy, especially the haute concentration version, although I wear it from time to time.

would it make a diff if they were vintage formulations? i was told there was no haute concentration available.

Love 'em both. Really do, and love them powerfully. For duration and raunchiness I go for YSL. For transcendental beauty and comfortable wonder I go for Eau Sauvage.

Eau Savage is sublme, one of the greatest scents created by man. The YSL is something less than that.

I hated YSL PH, I am utterly in love with Eau Sauvage.

Very well said.

YSL pH surprised me more with its dirty top notes. It's also more lemony than ES.

Eau Sauvage by a whisker.

I own both and like both, but tend to reach for Eau Sauvage much more frequently.

Eau Sauvage by a country mile. Elegant and well constructed fragrance.

If you want to smell like a lemon then go for the YSL.

I voted for Eau Sauvage, although I would have loved to vote for both, since both are grand

This is a tough call for me as I love and own them both. YSL pour Homme has better memories associated with it, but I think Eau Sauvage is the better scent by just a hair.
Love and have both, but prefer Eau Sauvage
post #24 of 26
I have both, both have very poor longevity on me.
I like Eau Sauvage more than YSL PH, but keep finding YSL PH for much cheaper prices than Eau Sauvage.

If I were going to buy a scent with lousy longevity, I'd want the price to be heavily discounted.

Renato
