Supposedly, I need to quit posting my SotD -- it does not change and still is the same -- Guerlain Chamade. Almost put on Lady Vengeance though.

My last Keiko Mecheri sample today; Paname.

notes: green notes, absinthe, rare spices, comores vanilla flower, tonka bean, woodsy notes, powder, musk

Bittersweet gourmand delight. This is something I'm going to have to return to when I'm less stuffy because I get the feeling I'm missing out on some of the green notes, making the absinthe licoricey and creamy. What I am getting is delicious, and the most tousled of the KM scents I've tried. Less mannish than Oliban, but the licorice occasionally reads like a trace of a lover's scent.

Petra, you got me all excited about Keiko Mecheri's sample program and I scurried over to the site to join up! To be greeted by confusing info.

On the Sample Program intro screen, 12 2.5 samples for $35 is offered. On the order screen, it's 28 (size not specified) samples for $65.00.

???????????

Retreated to douse in the divine

Happy news for Red Hot!!

Busy..busy ....busy today getting the house & yard ready for my husband to visit. Yipee!

I'm joining the Chanel crowd in #19 but in the edt, 'cause that's what I have. #19 energizes me & the bees don't seem as interested when I'm outside.

Off to do laundry...wash windows...spray Round-up......

Good Morning all and Happy Friday!! Todays scent of choice is DonnaKaran 'Cashmere mist Luxe Edition' I think this could be one of my everyday favs, We'll see....
I woke up this morning smelling a phantom scent, the existence of which I had totally forgotten about. Back in the 90s I had a parfum mini of DNA by Bijan, which I loved. No...I don't have it anymore. I think I may have even used it up. I don't have anything like that anymore, but I did find a sample of Estee Lauder's Sensuous, so I'm in a dab of that, which is probably more wearable in this day and age. It's satisfying the craving anyway.

Exciting goings on across the Pond! Sending love to our friends in Great Britain.

TGIF!

Happy Birthday lilkcceleb !!!!! Have a fantastic day !

Scent of the morning is Commes de Garcons' LUXE Champaca. I actually cracked open my new bottle - I love it- honeyed spicey floral.

Crisp, haunting floral floats about effortlessly.
Slightly green, yet sweet and pure; there is no other more perfect flower.

Middle Notes: Italian and Moroccan jasmine
Base Notes: Ambergris, galbanum

Philtre d'Amour by Guerlain

I love wearing this on Friday's - it's like an olfactory Casual-Friday treat for my nose. The lemon in this just lasts and lasts...quite amazing.
L'Artisan Tea for Two today. Like MikeP, I like to do a casual Friday vibe - either funky or just easy going. Tea for Two is very laid back and relaxing.
Dali EDP. This is similar in some ways to myrrh laden Le Mome. The top notes are brighter and their is enough cedar in the composition to make it a happier scent. My exploration of this house happily continues.
Good morning to all, and Happy Birthday to lilkcceleb! Everyone's scents sound just heavenly.

Even though I'm still nursing that blasted cold, I am enjoying Fendi's Celebration.

Guerlain's Shalimar PdT. Creamy and smoky.

I'm also wearing a Keiko Mecheri sample -- today is Passiflore. This is one of the bonus samples they threw in -- I wouldn't have chosen it myself -- but it's lovely. Crisp and fresh and warm all at once, and the sweetness is there but in check, as if the fruits are not quite ripe. It's more complex scent than her Osmanthus, which I tried earlier this week; that one opened like a somewhat sweeter and less assertive SL Datura Noir, but then tragically collapsed after a few hours into an undifferentiated too-sweet musk. I hope this one holds up!

I wish I had a more detailed list of notes, because there's something in the opening I've smelled before and it's SO GOOD and I have no idea what it is!

Taolady, from the KM home page choose "samples," then choose "individual samples" (not "about sample program") -- that should give you the option to choose five samples for a flat $12 shipping & handling fee. the site is VERY badly designed.

EDIT -- and WHOOSH! here comes the peach! It's a very nice peach, though; not too sweet, kind of heady, like peach skin more than the fruit itself.

lilkcceleb!

Today I'm wearing Black Aoud by Montale from a sample. It's loaded with incense and is absolutely delicious. I noticed several are wearing my FAVE, Chanel No. 19. I missed the boat on that one, since I've already applied my Montale, but I love this one too.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!
Mysticknot, I sampled that Champaca the other day at a store near here... it's lovely!
Happy birthday lilkcceleb !!!
RHM, have a great weekend with your husband in your all-tidied-up house! (Id hate to have my hubby away so much... though I do like him to occasionally go away... :-)

Today I'm wearing Mitsouko...
My new edp bottle. This is quite the strangest scent ever, and I love it.
I need to look into some vintage versions...

Happy Birthday, lilkcceleb! Have a great day.

I'm glad to have a little office privacy to load a photo today. I'm wearing TF Velvet Gardenia and loving it so much I just ordered a bottle (50 ml, not this ginormous 250ml). Yay!!

I chose a beaut this morning: Guerlain Spiriteuse Double Vanille. Rich, sweet, heady, boozy and even a bit tobacco-ish. Perfect for babysitting a pair of rambunctious small boys this morning.

Zibeline, your fellow member of the Le Mome fan club is now making note to check out Dali EDP! I enjoyed your recent opinion of Laguna as well; I wish I had my bottle here in hot Phoenix.

I was sampling so much in April and will be so much more in May, so I offered myself a FB challenge: to wear some of my FB scents for three days in a row and see what that feels like. I wore Poeme as my SotE yesterday so two days more of Poeme for me. Twist my arm, I love it. It doesn't bother me on a sunny day.

I'm on my 3rd day with Versus by Versace. I wore it with the Aveda Patchouli again today and it's gonna be the way I wear it from here on out. I really love how the patchouli brings out the sweetness. This particular patchouli oil turns sweet on me, which is good because I have a sweet tooth when it comes to perfume. I'm lovin Versus.....
Wow, folks are all over the smelly map today, responding to spring in all her variations. I woke up thinking about violets. SotD was Verte Violette. I just switched to CdG Stephen Jones for SotE. Wow, what a contrast! Demure morning-in-the-spring-garden violet to electric stand-up-and-let's-party violet. I'm liking my violet day!!!

Here's a little bunch of violets just for you, lilkcceleb. Happy Birthday!

For the evening, I am again in PdNs Vanille - Tonka. The slightly warmer weather is making this pop. Lovely, non-sweet frag with a not harse at all incense drydown.
Happy Birthday, lilkcceleb.

Later in the day, I wore SL's Bois de Violette but it was finished in the yard.

Tonight I want something soothing.....I'm going for the Youth Dew parfum from mysticknot. {{{{{hugs}}}}

AND...this was my 1,500th post!
