I'm also wearing a
Keiko Mecheri sample -- today is
Passiflore. This is one of the bonus samples they threw in -- I wouldn't have chosen it myself -- but it's lovely. Crisp and fresh and warm all at once, and the sweetness is there but in check, as if the fruits are not quite ripe. It's more complex scent than her Osmanthus, which I tried earlier this week; that one opened like a somewhat sweeter and less assertive SL Datura Noir, but then tragically collapsed after a few hours into an undifferentiated too-sweet musk. I hope this one holds up!
I wish I had a more detailed list of notes, because there's something in the opening I've smelled before and it's SO GOOD and I have no idea what it is!
Taolady, from the KM home page choose "samples," then choose "individual samples" (not "about sample program") -- that should give you the option to choose five samples for a flat $12 shipping & handling fee. the site is VERY badly designed.
EDIT -- and WHOOSH! here comes the peach! It's a very nice peach, though; not too sweet, kind of heady, like peach skin more than the fruit itself.
