The Perfect Scent for the Day After the UK Election...?

So, the votes are being counted, the winner is undecided, the future's still uncertain.

Shall we have a bit of fun with this?

What would be the scent of a Tory victory? Something safe and English... like Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet?
What's the smell of a Labour defeat? Something unsurprising and more restrained and dignified than you'd expect... like Gucci's Envy For Men?
How do you capture the whiff of a Lib Dem disappointment? Something thin and underwhelming, a wishy-washy frag that can't make up its mind... like CK's Contradiction?

And how do you capture the essence of a hung parliament in a bottle?

Over to you :-)

They're politicians - Bandit should suffice whatever the outcome.

How about Musc Kublai Khan? *LOL*

Thanks for your replies.

I'd made a quiet bet with myself that Creed would be the first suggestion :-)

Bandit is a good choice and the Musc KK is inspired!

What do you think the first Green Party MP is wearing? I'd have gone for a hefty dose of No. 19.

V&R Antidote - Indecision in a bottle :-) (really, you put it on and it cant decide what note is dominant from second to second)

It's called Fasciste and notes include:
Forgotten memories of Thatcher and Major
Upper class, chinless, public schoolboy twats
Decimation of public services
Local MPs who do not live or vote in their constituency
Pats on the back for banks and rich folk
The shaft for middle and working classes
Fox blood

Ooh - political!

Nope, not necessarily. Just very definitely NOT tory.

I'm amazed at the number of people who have forgotten what Thatcher and Major did to this country, yet blame Blair and Brown for a lot of stuff that almost certainly would've happened whoever was in number 10.

Plus I've never forgiven Thatcher for stealing my milk when I was a young 'un at school.

Brilliant... but surely you left out the overpriced petroleum base note.

Much as I enjoy a good political wrangle, perhaps we could try to keep the tone of this thread lighthearted and focussed on fragrance ;-)

Yes, sorry - I was letting personal anger getting in the way of a nice smell. Which is not acceptable.

How about Scandal, that might fit the bill ...!

God bless Margaret Thatcher! Rest in peace Ronald Wilson Reagan!

Watching the major players cuddle up to each other, I'd say Too Faced would be apt.

I'm with you, Badir. Short memories, indeed.

L' Anarchiste!!

Given the current state of affairs, Chaos seems like an apt choice.

This is the era of the conservatives - tried and tested, little to no innovation, and shunning risk.
Something risk-free such as an EDC cologne or a tried-and-tested big seller (or a remake of one) will do just fine, thank you very much.

+1 great badir. In my 40s now so fully aware of the nightmare that was.

Its gonna be crap for a while whatever happens so I'm wearing my expensive stuff as a last fling.....
