I've tried Ava Luxe, DSH oils, and Sonoma Scent Studio. Can you guys recommend anyone else I should check out?

Oooh, Mystic. Do you have any favorites?

Green Oakmoss is very lovely and I like Purple Love Smoke. They are very interesting perfumes- she does all naturals as well . I definitely will be sampling more of her floral perfumes too .

From USA, I am Danica fragrances http://www.iamdanica.com/ They are all excellent
From Italy, check out Marco da Venezia http://www.marcodavenezia.com/ also worth checking out are Antimateria and Le Essenze di Mezzanotte, but neither has a website at the moment.

Edit: I forgot to mention Ajne http://www.ajne.com/ You can order sample sets as well and they will then knock the price of the sample set off against a full purchase, so if you make a purchase, the samples are free

Smell Bent is another new one, with very reasonable pricing. Haven't sniffed 'em yet.

Also:
Ineke
Ayala Moriel (she posts here!)
Anya's Garden

Neil Morris (you can order sample set from his website for $25. They are generously sized samples). He's on basenotes.

and Michael Storer (his "Stephanie" is mentioned in the gardenia fragrances thread, so I've ordered a sample of it)
http://michaelstorer.com/ (he gets my vote for worst website!)

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, Ineke has some excellent perfumes - at least one to fit just about every taste. I'd recommend getting the sampler set as I found four that I must have (I already have Balmy Days and Sundays and Chemical Bonding, and next will be Field Notes from Paris and Evening Edged in Gold.)

http://www.ineke.com/

Here's the sampler library. It's $25 inc s&h and you can apply that to the purchase of a full bottle.

Just want to add my 2cents in praise/recommendation of Ineke. Her fragrances are amazing and she is so personable. I LOVE this line!!

I think Dawn Spencer Hurwitz (DSH) fits the description also

Les Parfums de Rosine makes a variety of rose-based fragrances; they sell a sample set of 1.5 ml vials ("échantillons") of all their frags for 18 Euros, which includes shipping:

I'm going to second Ayala Moriel and Neil Morris - I've had a great experience with both lines.

Yes, the sampler with coupon is a marvelous way to sample. It's a good business move to market her scents, and she included and handwritten thank you from her or her staff.

Hove and Bourbon French come to mind. They have some charming scents, though I don't care for their scents quite as much as I do the scents of some other perfumers mentioned, such as Ava Luxe.
Others have mentioned my favorites laready in the posts above.

I can only add (I *think* it has not been mentioned) Antonia's Flowers. I love Tiempe Passate and Antonia's Flowers from this house.
[Also a huge fan of Ava Luxe, SSS, Ineke, Neil Morris, Michael Storer, ...]

+1 on Michael Storer (who is also a BN member) and has a card of samples of his line available for a great inexpensive price. +1 for Bourbon French, I don't know their perfumes but know they are an established niche/bespoke perfumery on Rue Royal in New Orleans and I like the management (used to sell masks at Maskarade, owned by the lady whose family also runs BF)... JoAnne Bassett out of San Diego is a natural couture perfumer and her stuff is worth a look.

Have you tried Sage Machado? I love Sage's Onyx scent.

There is also an artisan natural perfumer on etsy.com whose work I really like. Her Etsy shop is called Magickal Realism.

I bought 2 perfume samples from Camille Michael Perfumery recently and they are quite nice. I especially liked the "Whiff of Peace" fragrance which has a soft vanilla base. I know that they give away free samples once in a while but I missed the dates of the last giveaway so I just went ahead and bought a couple. At least they offer free shipping with perfume sample orders which was nice. I believe they announce their sample giveaways on their Facebook page.

I would add:

Ormonde Jayne
The Different Company
Andy Tauer

They all make some gems, but OJ is really exceptional to me - I have most of her scents on my "to buy" list.

Another one is Les Nez - I was disappointed by the line, though.

How could I forget Vero Profumo?! http://www.veroprofumo.com/
post #27 of 33
I clicked on the link for veroprofumo, but his "perfumes" link goes nowhere...just moving dots.
I agree on Tauer! I love his Incense Rose and Reverie au Jardin.
He has some very nice teaser and discovery sets available in his webshop.

Simone Cosac Profumis Perle di Bianca is also very nice.

Slumberhouse I like their scent Rume
Earlier in 2011, someone posted something about Wylde Ivy scents. And that prompted me to try 3 of them. Teak, Green Grass, and Alas Sunflower! She sent a freebie in there as well -- Bronzed. I actually liked them all, but husband found them "perfume-y." (Well, duh!)

So, I sent them away. The only one I kept (because he didn't mention anything derogatory about it) was Green Grass. This is one that I used to layer with Anucci a few weeks ago, and received my very first ever compliment about a scent (or scents) I was wearing.

Wylde Ivy

And I see she's discontinued Green Grass. . . . ah, well.
Evangeline- oh awesome, I will be near a retailer soon to check these out!. yay.
Brecourt from France, available in the US at Indie Scents - their line is very good.
