Good morning!

I don't layer very often, but now I fancied some "extra lemons" for Etro Shaal Nur, so spritzed some Etro Lemon Sorbet on top.

Enjoy your day!
I like the sound of 'Extra Lemons' Tig!

Today I'm in a fragrance that doesn't get much attention on here. Fragile EDP by Jean Paul Gaultier. A cold tuberose that doesn't smell like tuberose too me. Still I quite like it.

Hell yeah, girl, I was lucky enough to find some vintage Dioressesce
in parfum concentration a few days ago, it's bloody divine!

On this, the first real warm day in Denmark, I'm in

PLATINUM ÉGO

I'm wearing Anarchy, Long Lost Perfume's version of Donna Karan Chaos. It's been years since I smelled the original so can't reliably compare the two but Anarchy's warm blend of dry spices, woods and incense is working beautifully on this chilly, damp day.

Take care, all!

Hello everyone!

You all smell exceptionally gorgeous today! It's another cool morning here, so I'm in another cool weather favorite, the luxurious L'Or de Torrente ...which completely reminds me of Twolf now....actually, I don't think I have many fragrances that don't remind me of one or another of you anymore! (And to answer your question Wolfie, I was indeed previously aware of M. Pierre Balmain's birthday yesterday, but it had completely gone out of my mind when reaching for and posting about Vent Vert ....at least I thought it had, but I suppose a little green bird must have reminded
me to wear it!)

L'Or de Torrente, created by Jean Jacques in 2001
Top notes - tangerine, lychee, kiwi, and magnolia
Middle notes - iris, coffee, rose, angelica
Base notes - vanilla, orchid, white amber, cedar

Y'all have a wonderful day!

Slava Zaitsev's Nikita, perfect for a sulky Wednesday in black lipstick, before I have to go to work and be an adult again.

Pffftt!

Have good day everyone !

Rose Barbare by Guerlain - thanks to kind Baykat !

I got a decant of this surprisingly nice, super decadent, sexy old schooler
from a fellow BNer today ... so, of course, that's what I'm in this evening.

BAL A VERSAILLES

I found my next favorite layering: Demeter Lily of the Valley with Demeter Lilac.

Wearing Patou's Normandie today. This is such great stuff. I wonder why I don't wear it more often.

Nyneve, I find Insolence difficult myself.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone!
Patou Normandie was one of the first scents you turned me on to, VV. A real mind-blowing chypre!

I'm in a new sample of Diptyque Olene. A jasmine, but I'm really just getting "flowers." (My nose isn't that developed.) They're nice flowers, though! Not too cloying, not too heady, not too shy.

Happy hump day, all! You smell fabulous!
Guerlain Héritage.
In the mood for jasmine - wearing Obsession, just one spritz 'cause it's warming up here and it is lovely.

Un Jardin Sur Le Nil

A rich and tangy mango drenched in sunshine.
A cool breeze over the crushed green stems tickles my nose.
The wise lotus floats nearby.

Notes; green mango, lotus flower, aromatic rushes,
incense, and sycamore wood.
I'm wearing Memoire Liquide Encens today. Love it!
Kumquat, what a gorgeous image!
I put on some Youth Dew parfum this morning but had to wash it off as it triggered my asthma. (That was weird.) I put on a little AdP Iris Nobile edt & that was much better.
Another steamy day... this will be our situation until October! I'm wearing Apercu. Another lovely blind buy. Sadly it is short lived on me, but it's great for an "at home" scent, I can spritz away all day...
Of the light florals I'm smelling mostly the rose, over a very tart chypre.
I like Apercu, too, C Rose -- it is nice and light, I agree!

Wearing Givenchy III today. Take care, all.
Today, I am enjoying a special fragrance thanks to a generous friend-in-fragrance. Thanks, Primrose!
It is L'Occitane Labdanum de Séville, a very lovely mid-weight amber that is perfect for our coolish spring day. I'm really going to enjoy this!

Listed notes are Citrus Fruits, Spices, Labdanum, Benzoin, and Vanilla
post #33 of 60
It's still overcast and gray here, but it stopped raining and is beginning to brighten up.

I wore Grès Caberet his morning. This afternoon it's Opium Poésie de Chine.

It sure looks and smells wonderful in here.
Evening all,

late post today as I've been working late.

Joining the Dior crowd in vintage Diorissimo edt.
Have taken a half day off due to a headache that WON't QUIT... (bug at work I suppose)... anyway, I started my day in the lithe, light and lovely sunshine and Mediterranean air of Fiore d'Ulivo and now, for the comfort factor, am snuggled up with Montale Black Aoud.

And to kumquat's images and verbiage: WHO in this group would not be tempted beyond any caution to buy a scent that featured such a lushly descriptive and lovely ad?
Good Afternoon! Parfums de Nicolai Sacrebleu today.
Diorella by Christian Dior.
You all are making me blush, again! This Hermes Is really one of the finest & it lasts all day on me. I wore it to my exercise class & it is still reminding me of the springtime outside. CRose, hmmm...Apercu, that gives me an idea for a future post. I really like that one, too. i find it very underrated.
Leesee -- you're wearing another one of my I-gotta-try-it-maybe-blind-it-chypres today! (If I could just figure out which style box is old and which new...)
Kumquat -- I look forward to your Apercu post! (& meanwhile I challenge anyone who loves chypres NOT to buy Apercu after reading Hillaire's "salado" review of it!)

Hello dear BNers!

SOTD: Prada Infusion d'Iris
Kumquat, thanks for posting the Normandie photo. It's sad to think it's now defunct. Your SOTD picture is so gorgeous. Thanks for posting. Hey, you've introduced me to some great favorites, too. Glad to return the favor!

Apercu lovers, unite!! It really is an underknown and underappreciated chypre. Is it still in production?

I tried Velvet Gardenia today.
In the beginning I was not impressed but, out of the shopping centre,
in the cool spring air I found Ι really liked it.
(A good thing is that I can buy it, if I decide it, as I have a bonus for 130 euros in the shop that sells it!)

I'm covered in Dawn Spencer Hurwitz fragrances, having just received a box in the mail. Her "Specials" page is wonderful, lots of goodies there. I'm enjoying the Route d'Iris very much, along with Umber: Bois de Rose and Essenza dell'lbisco.

Route d'Iris is a fresh "rooty" iris/mimosa/violet/neroli (there's lots more, of course) blend that smells exactly like my Butterfly Garden, which is in full iris bloom right now.

Scent twins today with actiasluna in wearing Montale Black Aoud.
It's truly comforting on this cold and rainy day.

Hope everyone has a lovely evening and that your headache dissipates soon, actiasluna, if it hasn't already!
Scent o the morn was Givenchy Organza...all gone now so just switched to First by Van Cleef and Arpels
post #49 of 60
Today (and yesterday night) I'm feeling resplendent in vintage My Sin parfum thanks to the lovely and generous lilybelle.

And oh my goodness, what a remarkably gorgeous fragrance! I just may become a vintage devotee, after all....
Scent of the day, which is also lingering well into the evening, is Christian Lacroix Absynthe.

For what it's worth, C Rose, I have the more recent version of Givenchy III, and I adore it. (Still, I imagine the vintage is even better, of course.)

Actiasluna, feel better soon!

A lot of lovely smelling folks around here today! Count me in -- another fan of Apercu and the house of Houbigant in general. I think it is still in production but the house got split up and bought up by different companies so many of their scents are not the way they used to be.

SotE -- How could it possibly be not L'Or by Rose Torrente-Mett? (I have another bottle on my way as well as My Torrente -- this last one is fresia and hazelnut, for the lazy summer evenings if nothing else). Once again, I can't stress enough the importance of testing, please PM me if you have not tested L'Or yet.
For this evening I'm sampling Etro's Relent. Baby powder lavender turning into babypowder amber. Nice and uncomplicated, but not of enough interest for me I think. This would make a nice bedtime scent maybe.
