Slammed again with a Ebay Fake!

This time it was a bottle of Paco Rabbane XS Extreme -

Received the item today and it is nothing like the picture which is the new updated box. Mine was the old box the serial numbers on the box do not match the bottle the paint is all chipping off the cap and the print job on the bottle is awful it is also coming off!

This is truly it for me with buying any fragrances on Ebay.

Sorry to hear that Scentimus. That's very frustrating. I hope you can return it. I'm surprised that this particular item is being faked though. Just curious:
1) Was it a highly rated seller?
2) Was it a "store" or an individual seller?

I do hope it is returned I am going to post some pictures. I was also surprised this one was being faked but again it is my 2nd Paco Rabanne item that I was duped on! This is a store with good rep and I purchased from them before with no problem. I just think a lot of these vendors don't even know the stock to spot a fake.

I think you have hit the nail on the head scentimus. Many/(most?) are clueless

I'm sorry this happened to you. Fortunately, I've not had any issue with perfumes I've ordered on Ebay. Granted many sellers may not know how to spot a fake, but you have the option to email the seller, which I've always done, to make sure what's in the photo is what you're getting. You may ask anything about the item and just hope the seller is honest in his or her response. They generally respond pretty quickly, and have occasionally given me an "I don't know" when I've asked about particular details (i.e., reissue, etc.). It helps if you know exactly how your bottle/box should look, which doesn't help if you don't. If you payed with PayPal, hopefully you should have no difficulty getting a refund. Still sucks, though!

It's happened to me once and it leaves a nasty taste in your mouth I know. I am sorry it has happened- I guess there are some perfumes you just cannot buy on the 'Bay . It sucks.
Hopefully you can get your money back, Scentimus, through Paypal ?

Me either Mimi but if you right click on the red X, then click on 'properties. In the drop down box that appears you can copy the http and paste it to your task bar, hit go and you should see the pic.


Or, just copy my copy of it below and use your taskbar to find it on the internet.

Buying from online stores is probably going to be a better choice, I never purchased any fragrances from eBay but I bought other stuff on eBay which were fakes. Sorry to hear about the bad experience.
