Best light, fresh, citrusy/fruity fragrance?

What is the best fragrance of this kind ^

note: Aqua Di Gio is not light enough, does not have enough citrus/fruity in its basenotes (although the top notes are ideal) and is way too sweet/strong on the basenotes. I need something fresh and light throughout.

One i really like so far is Versace Eau Fraiche. I love the citrus/fresh top notes, and the spicy but light basenotes. Is this the best one, though?

if you can find it near you, you might like Brezza di Mare from Il Profumo di Firenze (i think it's iPdF anyway)... it has this very nice and refreshing watermelon note in the base. I thought I would hate anything with watermelon as a note, but I love this stuff. Very light, refreshing, and summer-centric.

Another thought might be Story from Paul Smith. I guess technically it's ivy notes over verbena notes, but on me it's got a bunch of great citrusy notes and the topnotes and midnotes are redolent of grapefruit.

I might be misinterpreting your use of the word "light" here, but maybe try Hermes' Jardin line; incredibly light and refreshing, with different ones having different fruit "themes" (figs, mango etc.).

Just absolutely wonderful fragrances, though they are close to the skin, and one review mentioned the word "transparent", which I think describes it well. That's not to say when you spray it nothings there, but it's just very very light and subtle.

If Acqua di Gio is not light enough then I would recommend Gendarme EDT, Mugler Cologne, or Puro Lino. They aren't fleeting, but they have that "fresh out of the shower" smell that's less conspicuous IMO.

Comme des Garcons Energy C Series 8 fragrances: Grapefruit (my fave), Lemon, or Lime.
Penhaligon's Extract of Limes.
Parfums de Nicolai Balle de Match (grapefruit)
Varvatos Artisan

All-time classic: Acqua di Parma Colonia. Fits the description perfectly. You can't go wrong with this one.

Vertical Limit

I wouldn't describe either of these as especially citrusy, however Gendarme and and Ineke Derring-Do are both light, fresh, clean smelling, and beautiful. You should definitely check them out. Also, if price is not an issue check out Creed's Erolfa. Light, fresh, clean, beautiful, and a little more citrusy.

In addition to those already suggested, you might try sampling some of the following for relatively "unencumbered" fresh citrus:

Eau de Rochas and Eau de Rochas Homme
Eau de Guerlain, Eau de Cologne du Coq, and Eau de Fleurs de Cédrat
Monsieur Balmain
Iskander
Fraïcheur Muskissime
Eau du Sud
Ma Dame (I'm not kidding!)

The one I have to fill that niche is Higher by Dior.

AdG is one of the loudest frags I know, so finding a lighter one should be no problem.

Many great suggestions there!
I'll add Hermes' Concentre d'Orange Verte and Creed Citrus Bigarrade.
