Boucheron Trouble..appropriate for men to wear?

I adore scents with vanilla with citrus or floral.

I am currently loving Arpege Pour Homme, which has a beautiful amber/vanilla base.

In my research, I came across Boucheron Trouble, which is marketed to women. Beautiful ruby-coloured bottle with a snake motif, not unlike the fashionable snake jwellery of the 1840s and beyond.

I know some of you wear Poison and Hypnotic Poison and enjoy their strong character. Can Trouble be considered a unisex fragrance?

I sampled Trouble but, found it too feminine for me. I only tried it once though so, in fairness I will give it another go since it has been some time now.

I've yet to smell this one, but the reviews definitely make it sound safe and on the citrussy side.

However, your mention of snake jewelry and Poison immediately brought to mind this, which I do hope to run across one day.

Heavens no, can't be unisex at all! If a man sprays this on the equipment he has that makes him male will dry up and fall off in flakes. Don't do it.

(I haven't smelled Trouble yet. I'll look forward to trying it out.)

Trouble is a slightly sweeter Hypnotic Poison for the first 15-20 minutes, after which it mellows down into a beautiful woody/smoky vanilla. If a man likes Hypnotic Poison and/or Dior Addict, he can carry off Trouble.

So, my opinion is YES, if the man is confident.

Thanks for the input. I am interested in just how sweet the scent might be. I guess sampling will be a must. No blind buys here.

Thank you for the link, Suga! The cobra motif is certainly exotic, and I know they used snakes with the beautiful Monica Belluci for Hypnotic Poison (wife of Vincent Cassel, who is the face for YSl La Nuit de L'Homme.)

DustB, they also seem to offer a perfume version of this. I think the scent was released with a new jwellery line.
