should i get equipage when my bottle of gucci ph 1976 runs out?

i keep reading reviews that this is the original equipage. i don't get a soapy vibe from it thoguh as much as i get a musky one. if equipage has more soap then i'll spring for a bottle.

Completely different frags. I've been through multiple bottles of each. Both good. I prefer Gucci 1976 of the two, but no way they're that similar.

I just acquired a perfect vintage 100ml bottle of Equipage ("aerospray") with "EQUIPAGE" printed on the bottle under eau de toilette, which I believe confirms it is older vintage (prior to 1984 according to another thread in which someone had the identical bottle in full pictures that I have). It is, in a word, fantastic! Two words...elegant & masculine!

However, I fully agree with AromiErotici...you cannot compare Gucci Pour Homme Original 1976 to Vintage Equipage. Totally different vibes as I now own both. Two classic, refined and beautiful fragrances that are timeless. If I had to pick one over the other - well, let my actions dictate that. I tried and loved both prior, but pursued Gucci Pour Homme Original before Vintage Equipage.

The correct answer is to have both in your wardrobe. Period. I cannot believe I put off getting a bottle of Vintage Equipage for so long - then again, I am not even 40 yet. But, I have been wearing Gucci PH Original for a while now...so age has nothing to do with these fragrances. They are about confidence, refined masculinity and great taste. Apply either and you are in olfactory heaven - time stands still.
