Happy Geburtstag to bookshop88 and many fragrant wishes. Please post more often -- it is pure delight to look through your wardrobe -- have you guys seen it yet? You must! -- and read your insights.

Tolerable Monday to everyone else.

Hilde Soliani Vecchi Rossetti for me today.

Get well soon Inees!

I'm in Eau de Star. Serious overdose warning, this fume needs but one spritz only, or else it's murder by perfume.

Today I'm in Lemon Sugar. I know it's not thought of very highly in this forum, but I consistently get compliments when I wear it, and today was no exception.

I'm a good girl, so I'll do whatever I'm told.

Happy birthday to Bookshop! (Statistically, do we have more Geminis here?)
Healthy vibes to all (especially optically, poor ineespenes).

Breaking out one of the things I loved last winter, the discontinued ( makes angry Piggy groan) VIP Room -- imagine Bulgari Black’s leather with sweet pineapple & tiare.

Happy Monday, all!

I'm in my blind-bought Dior Dune. Oh, it's yummy. Sweet and rich and dry -- I'm shocked that so many people don't experience this as floral, on me it's very flowery without being dainty or heady.

Today I just had to wear the 1960s L'Aimant cologne that I found the other day at Goodwill. This is not a scent I ever wore back then, so it is interesting to me.

I am wearing Fleurs de Rocaille today. I knew I would. I have to attend a committee meeting today and I sense that I will need a lot of confidence to stand up to committee members with more seniority, and I will feel better doing so while wearing a breathtakingly beautiful combination of bright crispy aldehydes and flowers warmed by my skin. Mmmmmm!

It might be time for a FB. My precious decant (thanks, dear friend!) is getting lower and lower. I watch the line going to the bottom. It's love.

Hello to all, and Happy Birthday wishes to the birthday people! I'm going away tomorrow for a holiday before I start my new job on the 21st.

I picked up my package from the post office this morning, of vintage Mitsouko EDC. It's glorious! I get spicy peaches, leather, woods. That's my SOTD.

Good day to all, hope this is the start of an enjoyable week for all.

Welcome to BN Texanna!!

Happy Birthday Bookshop. Wherever you may be hopefully you are having a fabulous time and wearing something delicious...and eating something delicious also.

Ines, I do hope your poor Augen will be feeling better soon and all healed up.

Today I am wearing vintage Guirlandes by Carven. It has been discontinued for so long I guess there is "only" vintage I have loved this for ages. When I was a young girl my mama gave me the extrait of it, beautiful hot-pink design box, and I just fell in love. Still a mainstay during the warmer months.

Hope the day will be smashing for all, hugs all around

It's totally a 'speak softly and carry a big stick' scent! It's just so.. hmm.. unquestionable and quietly authoritative. Hope the meeting went well

And congrats to Candy Perfume Boy on finishing up the portfolio. Nothing nicer than having everything all neatly mounted and presented and in one place!

Happy b'day to Bookshop88 (good year!), and belated wonderful birthday wishes to our dear RHM and Taolady (who was earlier, but I am out of synch!) !!!

I've spent the weekend renewing my delight in several of my Parfumerie Generale fragrances: Querelle, L'eau Rare Matale, and today - L'eau Guerriere. All gorgeous, all different, and surprisingly , the L'eau Guerriere is the shortest-lasting on me. I'd had L'eau Rare Matale pegged for that dubious distinction, but it would seem I'm mistaken. Ephemeral or not, however, they are all FANTASTIC fragrances, in my opinion! Especially Querelle.
Querelle notes: Citrus, Iranian black caraway, myrrh, cinnamon, Haitain vetiver, incense, oakmoss, ambergris.
L'eau Rare Matle notes: Sage, white flowers, bergamot, black Matale tea, Virginia cedar, Chinese cedar, vetiver, birch, burnt woods, pepper and musk.
L'eau Guerriere notes: Cinchona bark, sky aldehydes, olibanum, aloe wood, musk.

Moving right along, the afternoon is dark and rainy and I received a bottle of Samsara EDT today, along with some large samples of ... other stuff. So, the SoTA is Samsara... once I get past my chores that seem to have lasted forever (or since Friday evening) I'll post some sort of review... just I'll briefly say that on my skin, it's kind of like Mitsuoko's louder sister who also happens to love flowers and incense, and my nose is not getting the super-synthetic wood note our own Off-Scenter mentions in his reviews.
