You think it's real oakmoss or synth?

Also, do you know are these to be "regular" releases with usual Creed prices or "special" like Windsor.
They both sound nice, especially the Aventis. Are these going to be released worldwide and not just in the USA like Windsor was?

Aventis is going to be released as a regular lineup scent in all the sizes. I am not sure about the oakmoss though. COnsidering it is banned I would think it has to be the synthetic type. The Spice and Woods will be the royal exclusive and this time instead of that stupid bulb you add to the top of it, it will already come with the spray attachment already added to it and it cannot be removed. As for worldwide releases, I do expect it to be released worldwide but I am not sure when. II think Creed france will have it before anyone else though.
for the update cairomerta. I'm still trying desperately to get my hands on a bottle of Windsor. I have a 10ml decant which I have been using and I've got to the stage now where I daren't use it other than special occasions, so it lasts as long as possible Nice to know Aventis will not be as hard to get my paws on
post #6 of 99
Aventis looks right up my alley. Looking forward to this.

Why hasn't DavidBond007 posted yet?
This is exciting news.....They both sound very good.....Thanks for the info.....Gary
post #9 of 99
Aventis - like the pharmaceutical megacorporation ?
Both sound good. I'll be picking up decants of both. The birch in both of them sound surprising.

Apple? In both? Hmm. Sounds like it smells synthy.
Pinapple. What is this? A cheap pizza topping? I mean ROYAL PINEAPPLE??
Has it got royal anything else? I'm not buying it unless EVERY fruit ingredient is royal.

Oakmoss is not banned but is heavilly restricted. There is talk of a "safe" oaknmoss with the "harmfull" material removed. Wonder what it smells like?
Is it unisex, you think ? Looks cool ............
Thanks for posting! Am I the only one who thinks the bottle looks a bit cheezy?

I heard it is for men but it is supposed to smell amazing on women because of the fruity top notes.

Does that mean that the Creed-only-uses-natural-ingridients mental masturbation will come to an end then? Cause that does not sound one bit natural. Phew.

If CREED is not a member of IFRA, they can use as much real oakmoss as they choose, provided their liability carrier acquiesces.

Robert bears the ill news ;(

I was only jesting though. Sort of.

Aventis sounds intriguing! Can't wait to try it

I'm in. Both of them. Sounds like some mighty fine stuff. Thank you, cairomerta. Cutting edge reporting, as always.

I don't know what to think of that bottle if it's real. The little horse is drawn kind of funny. It makes me think of some 4th grade student not paying attention in class--and the teacher walks over to their desk, looks under their textbooks and yanks up some little goofy drawing of a unicorn that they traced from a picture of a horse and then added a horn to.

Maybe it's just the glare from the pic, but it looks awkward. Maybe just out of frame is one of the "royal pineapple" plants and the little dude on the horse is out harvesting the fruit for His Majesty, throwing it into his little royal rucksack.

You know, allegedly after his death, the doctors preserved a small part of Napoleon. Enfleurage anyone?

I like Creed. I also like having fun with Creed.

Don't worry, bro. I wasn't calling your integrity into question. I was just having some fun with the bottle design/marketing. I think it's really cool that you got this info/pic and that you could share it here. If you look at my drobe, you'll see that I own several Creeds and am a big fan of their scents--I'll likely buy Aventus if I like it and if it's not priced at $400. At the same time, I also find some of Creed's marketing to be unintentionally humorous and I have to have a laugh now and again. So I apologize if my post seemed to impugn your character. That wasn't my intent.

Cheers.

The horseman pic looks like its from Royal Delight packaging. Is the juice black? It looks bad ass. And is the answer to "What would Darth Vader wear?"

Juice is clear to pale yellow. Im wondering how the 4oz will look though. Meaning how high will the leather wrap go up.

Awesome info as always cairomerta. So what famous people were Aventus and Spice and Woods created for?
Spice and Woods sounds more interesting to me. What are the other Creeds that are coming out this year?
Awesome info thanks! Spices and woods sounds amazing. I can't wait to try that one. I will start hounding my SA. The pinapple note in Aventus scares me a little and with ambergris listed as a basenote I really hope it's not built on the milesime base.
both sound like they will be unique additions to the Creed lineup. very interesting ingredients

thanks a lot, Cairomerta!
I will be curious to try these.

I think the bottle looks a bit amateur.

Thank you. Creed will also be releasing a 250 year anniversary scent. it will be housed in a crystal flacon and the scent is still not decided. It may be a scent that has been in the vault for a very long time and brought back or it may be a new scent. That will be also released in a few months. The price will be north of $1000.00 from what I hear. Not sure the size but I am thinking 8.4oz

... only Creed. Really milking that pseudo-royalty card for what it's worth and then some.
Are you saying Creed doesn't even know what they are going to put in a bottle and sell for $1000 in a few months? I wish I had a business where I could do that and still sell.

I do like a lot of Creed scents so I'm not a Creed hater but yes I do find their business model amusing at times.

cairomerta do you know anything about the now discontinued Private Collection that are now in a vault and will supposedly be released once every 10 years?

Ok that makes more sense. Your source is still pretty good getting us a pic of Aventus.

Is the fragrance called Aventis or Aventus? The thread title reads Aventis, but the bottle in the photo is Aventus.

Its Aventus... I misspelled it. Its now corrected.
personally i want to try them out but neither sound very appealing to be honest. Hopefully i am mistaken.

You've really got the scoop, haven't you cairo.

I must say, I'm in the camp that doesn't really like the Aventus bottle, but not liking a bottle has never stopped me from enjoying a scent, so it's just a minor thing.

The base notes in both of these sound very tempting.

Thanks!

Thanks Mike. I may actually be getting a small sample any day now so I will keep everyone up to date if I get it on how it smells.

On another note, these two make use of patchouli, birch and oakmoss, notes which aren't used that much in typical Creed compositions. Another reason to get excited.

Aventus, at least by the notes, certainly doesn't seem like Bois De Santal LOL!

Apple/Bergamot/Rose/Birch/Oakmoss makes me think these were each based off a single experiment, and it went in two equally likable directions....

...very eager to try both.
I'm exited to try Aventus when it's released, but the bottle looks terrible.
I kind of like the kitchy bottle, but I'm a bit concerned about the Ambergris in the base. Again???????????????????
Definitely looking forward to trying these!

I assume that the thing that looks like a wing (Pegasus was my first thought) is Napoleon's cape. The bottle is indeed a bit over-the-top, but it is powerful - I hope the frag is, too. I've been having terrible longevity with Creed's other Napoleon frag, Bois du Portugal.
thank you cairo I have taken to Creed lately and find any new news exciting, especially after trying
Windsor courtesy of yours truly
I'll try em' when they come out. Can't wait. Also, my mind is failing me right now, but is Aventus the first masculine main-line Creed release in a while now? I can't remember the last one.

EROLFA?

Couldn't be. Has it been that long?

[Edit - according to the directory, Green Valley, Original Santal and Himalaya are masculines, but I could have sworn they were unisex releases. Either way, it's been awhile.]

I'll just wait till a few BNers try them and give us the scoop on these new fragrances
Thanks Cairomerta for the heads up, I am still trying to muster enough will power to try the xerjoff samples, I am afraid I might fall in love with something I can't afford

i can tell Aventus hasn't been inspired by Napoleon travels and places he conquest.

the sketch on the stickers of the bottle and the box representing a man and his horse do not look like Napoleon , so much recognizable with his hat but there is not.

NO Napoleon, we got inspired by another historical hero.
i won't say who, because that's not the fundamental and might bring us out of subject

it talks about a man at the begining of his own life , he has desir, passion, ardour, he's intense and want to conquest his goal which could be love, happiness, artistical career whatever is your goal; the important is to want this life.

about the note are :

Top : bergamot, blackcurrant leaves, apple, pineapple
Coeur : pinkberries from Reunion island , birch, patchouli, jasmine
Back : musk, oakmoss, ambergris, vanilla

there is no birch from louisiana or Napoleon roses

SPICE & WOOD

forget about Cleopatra and Mark Anthony's love . it is not .

Top: Bergamot, lemon, apple
Coeur: Angélica root, pink berries, cloves, pimento, patchouli, vétiver, birch
Back: Iris, cèdre, oakmoss, musk

what. the. hell.

Ms. Creed, may I be the first to tell you "Welcome to Basenotes".

It would be really nice to have somebody from the Creed family offering more or less regularly first-hand information about your House's perfumes. We are an opinionated bunch of people, but seldom more evil than any other cross-section of the population ( :.
