My personal impression of Prada Amber Pour Homme.

Hello guys,

I am wearing some Prada Amber Pour Homme today. I got a sample from YouTube reviewer Teresa.
Anyway, I know a lot of people are saying that it smells like a rich man's soap. I guess I'm not really
sure if I smelled those types of soap before. I do sense a very soapy cleaness here. However, my
personal impression is that the closest association to me is that of spray starch. I used to be in the
Navy, and had to use that stuff to get my shirts nice and crisp looking. I do recall one other mention
of starch on the basenoter reviews (out of about 90 total). Is it just me, or am I on the right track here.

I can see where you are coming from. Have you tried Infusion d'Homme by Prada? I find that one to be even more "starched white shirt" than the Amber. Amber, to me, is a bit too rich and resinous to evoke the starched feeling - I get more "supple suede with hints of bubble gum" from it.

I found another reviewer on Amazon that thought that Amber smelled like a Yankee Candle called "Clean Linen". The majority seem to be
saying that it's more of a rich man's soap. So I just thought it would be interesting to see if most basenoters would say a linen smell or a
hand soap smell to describe this one.
