My Summer Vacation in Nine Scents

Well, we've been back from our Alaska cruise for a few days, and I've been busy doing various things, but I think I can now safely post about the scent component of the trip. It was a beautiful seven days at sea and on land about which I will post to my blog soon. I've already set up a new photo album on my Profile page, called "Alaska Cruise, 2010." You can click on the first photo under Albums, on the left side of the page right under "Friends" to see them all.

Now for the list of juices that went along:
Armani Eau pour Homme
Cartier Déclaration Cologne
Chanel pour Monsieur
Diptyque Eau de Tarocco
Gucci Nobile
Guerlain Jicky EdT
Guerlain Vétiver (older formulation)
Montale Red Vetiver
Parfums de Nicolaï New York
Seven days, seven juices, plus two for the black-tie evenings: for the first, I wore Guerlain Vétiver, and for the second Chanel pour Monsieur.

So that's the 411, the skinny, all the news that's fit to print, and all she wrote.

Pick up the rest of the story later at JaimeB's Blog here on Basenotes.

Aw, I wish I'd known you two were coming to my home town! There are no perfumista sites ( secret or otherwise ) to be sure, but I'd have been happy to take you on a tour around town. Feel free to drop a PM if you're ever headed here again!

We were sadly so late we had little time to do anything. We knew our time would be short, but not as short as it turned out to be. Anyway, I seem to have cottoned to the mistaken notion that you lived in Vancouver... from this far away, they're hard to tell apart!

Seriously, we had a great week up there a few years back, five days in Vancouver and a couple in Victoria. Of course, I didn't know you then... Well, Cheerio and all that!

Taking fragrances along on a weeklong cruise was a guilty pleasure of mine a couple years ago. It was along the Baltic Sea that I became personally acquainted with Habit Rouge vintage Eau de Cologne and Eau d'Orange Verte by Hermes. Now, everytime I smell both, I think of my fantastic vacation and it makes wearing the fragrances even more special.

Hi Jaime,
when you say you took Déclaration Cologne, was that this years new flanker, or the original? If it was the new one, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on it.
