I like spicy scents, so for me Theorema and Parfum Sacre are at the top of my list.

now I noticed. Uhm well, we seem to have similar ideeas of what "sexy" smells like.

There are so many sexy perfumes from the obvious ones to the not so obvious. I don't know, I love all the ones mentioned above plus Shalimar . Anything with vanilla and/or tuberose is sexy .
( I think the way you carry yourself can make any perfume you wear appear sexy ! )

I have to agree with Mimi on this. Sexy is the actual woman herself and not her perfume. This is like all those questions asked by male newbies who want to know the best fragrance to seduce a woman.

IMO, a woman can be sexy wearing Poison or Shalimar, or even Habit Rouge or Pour Un Homme. (Come to think of it, Habit Rouge and PUH have vanilla...)

So what you actually mean by sexy?

Romantic alluring?

Or down right rolling in the sheets hot and sweaty animal passion?

The latter Ambre Sultan

The former is usually the vanilla based orientals. Though a survey done with real normal men it seems to be food smells. So fried bacon and pie.
I think by sexy, it's ment: "just sniffing you makes me wanna ...(a kinky word) you" clear now? )

if I serve that to my boyfriend, he just ends up lyeing around like a honey ant, barely able to walk around. ) nothing sexy, lol

I think it all depends on one's body chemistry. That being said, on me, the scents that have gotten the most compliments from others are the following (in no particular order)

Muscs Koublai Khan
Black Oud
Agent Provocateur's Strip
Red Vetyver
Coco
and good old Obsession

According to my BF, the sexiest scents are:

The Party In Manhattan
Diva
Knowing
Ubar
Soir de Lune

Hmmm... so many women, so little time.

Opium extrait ... so sultry, so provocative, so rarely done well.
Aftelier Tango ... touseled sheets, tangled limbs, champagne flutes on the nightstand.
Byzance by Rochas ... that ones a sleeper. I know not why, it just is

There is a woman who layers vintage Diorling with Ambergris absolute - perhaps the most divine scent I've ever smelt. My father says shes sexy but I can't quite look at it that way.

sexy itself ...

I do agree with the previous sentiments about the wearer defining the fragrance, and not the other way around. If you feel sexy in it, then others will probably find it sexy on you. However, fiance has a few that he seems to find particularly alluring, so I think of these as my sexiest, come-hither sorts of scents.

Calvin Klein's Euphoria - soooooo smoldery and sexy, too floral to be edible but absolutely delicious none-the-less. Mysterious, sultry and exotic.

L'Instant de Guerlain - this one has such oomph, and is just so overtly feminine and womanly...I feel like a glorious, voluptous goddess when I wear it. Very luscious, opulent and radiant, but honey-sweet so not everyone's cup of tea.

Mystère de Rochas - a deep and smoldery, super-sophisticated femme fatale of a scent. This plush animalic chypre is the opposite of prim, although I don't find it dirty or skanky at all. I always think of clean, warm kitty fur when I smell this...a grown-up she-kitty wearing a touch of chic perfume.

Coco by Chanel - spicy, ultra-lush and velvety sex-pot perfume, darkly opulent, extravagant and dramatic. And drop-dead gorgeous, of course.

A female friend always spritzes on my Kouros when she comes over and I find it incredibly sexy. Gender reversal in perfume is always sexy, however, because it indicates that the wearer is intelligent, confident, and sophisticated enough to realize that scent has no gender. It's astonishing how most people behave like there's an electric fence around the opposite-gendered section in the store- I went shopping with a girl who, after I suggested she look in the men's section for a perfume, asked rhetorically "Can I do that?"

Angel is sexy because of its vulgarity. And despite how apparently controversial it is, I've received nothing but effusive compliments on it.

Youth-Dew is timelessly sexy. I swear, if only younger girls would give it a try and realize it's the best deal in the world...I'd go crazy with delight if I ran into an attractive young girl bathed in Youth-Dew. Most younger girls are all too stupid and concerned with not smelling like an "old lady" to experiment, though.

If perfume has no gender then how can we know that there's been a "gender reversal"?

Oh, I meant wearing something MARKETED to the opposite sex.

I find Black Orchid and Courtesan by Worth to be very sexy fragrances. Roll around in the sheets sexy....

ALLURE by CHANEL
I agree - it's not the perfume, it's the wearer. A sexy woman makes her perfume sexy, unless she overdosed herself with it.

But there are perfumes that always get my attention:

Gucci Rush
Guerlain Samsara
Guerlain Spiritueuse Double Vanille
Chanel Coco

i tend to feel sexiest in Dior Addict, Bond no 9 New Haarlem and and all of Agent Provocateur's scents. However my husband always says that I smell good when I where Stella - the only problem with that one is that 30 minutes later I can't smell a thing.

Cadolle No. 9
Ava Luxe Madame X
Ebba - Miss Natasha
Mitsouko
Agent Provocateur
Angelique Encens
plain old jasmine absolute has a very courteous but unmistakeable way of announcing its intentions...
Francis Kurkdjian Lumiere Noire pour Femme is pretty hot!
I also like Nirmala and Anne Pliska.
Here is what Turin and Sanchez were quoted as describing as the sexiest perfumes (July 2010 Allure Magazine):

Bond no. 9 Chinatown
Guerlain Insolence Eau de Parfum
Bvlgari Black
Chanel 31 Rue Cambon
Etat Libre d’Orange Secretions Magnifiques

I secound EVANGELINE'S Choices, oh yeah!!

I think these scents plus up the sexy that's already within:

Tom Ford Noir de Noir
Bond No 9 Nuits De Noho
Hm...updating my original post from over a year ago, I'll still list Coco, L'Instant, Euphoria and Mystère but I'd like to add a few more that have performed well in this arena since then.

I absolutely agree with Noir de Noir, plus Lady Vengeance, Jessica Simpson's Fancy Nights, Agent Provocateur Strip, Dior's Midnight Poison and By Kilian Rose Oud ...all hubs-approved.

Big, sultry, heavy-lidded florals -

L'Artisan Parfumeur Nuit de Tubereuse
Serge Lutens Fleurs d'Oranger
Serge Lutens Datura Noir

Spicy orientals with a naughty touch -

Roberto Cavalli Oro
Alexander McQueen Kingdom
Yves St Laurent Nu edp
Frederic Malle Musc Ravageur (despite the name, I get very little musk from it)

Sensual musks -

Helmut Lang
Auric Blends Egyptian Goddess
Creative Scentualization Perfect Veil - it's catnip to my husband.

OK, wearing Shliamar WHILE cooking bacon, with a pie in the oven would be irresistible, no?

Men always drool over Dior Addict. It never fails.
Although such a scent demands that you are well dressed and well behaved. (I keep trying to do the latter...)
Carnal Flower smells sexy to me, but for some reason men don't like too much tuberose.

I take it that you are asking your question to be attractive to men?
Then I would have to agree with the ones who mention personality. And make the best of what nature gave you in the looks department. Life isn't a beauty contest, but keep yourself clean, well dressed and keep your hair trimmed nicely. Then you can start to think about which perfume suits you - because you have to like it; otherwise not many will.
Good luck!
