to filter or not?

I make my own fragrances with alcohol. I mix synthetics and essential oils. My question: do you always filter your fragrances after maturation? Is it really necessary? I just try to avoid sediment when I put them in spray bottles.

Thank you!

P.S. I remember my first splash bottles of Magie Noir and Sikkim (extracts, ca. 25-30 years ago). There was always some sediment from essential oils which was visible few weeks or months after opening.

It's up to you whether you filter. If the fragrances are for your own use, there's no need for it. If you're selling them in clear bottles, people are so squeamish that the least haze or speck of anything in the liquid can be off-putting.
