Yea, the scentsnobs, no offense to the many wonderful contributors on here, seem to think if something is too popular or too linear it doesn't meet standards of greatness. It has to be some obscure niche or have a 101 notes to be up to snuff.
I don't care, I like what I like and if alot of others like it, too, so be it. Just recently my samples of Code ran out so I was buying a bottle and the sales guy at this store was trying to talk me out of it. I have it in my hand and am standing in front of the register and he's telling me how I don't want to smell like every other guy and if I like that I'll like this other scent that smells exactly like Code but I'll be different then. So I ask him if I want to be different why should I buy something that smells exactly like it? He just kind of stuttered.
So I said I'll spray one on one arm and the other on the other arm and think about it, did that and walked out of the store. He chased me out there trying to get me to buy one of the two and I told him he needs to learn to stfu when someone knows what they want and are standing in front of the register with cash in hand and the item in the other.
The other scent smelled amazingly identical in opening notes but the dry down was so woody and wimpy it disappeared on my skin in an hour or so where the Code kept it's presence and spice for hours. The next day I went to another store where I found Code for sale for $25 less on the same size and thanks to the pushy SA I found a better retail source with wholesale pricing, well once I got the special pricing from the cute female SA and she said she'll give me a discount on anything I want since her family owned the store.

Tonight I'm going to rock
Rochas Man since I have a date and we probably will get cozy.....and no it's not the SA from that store...haha
