Malle's Geranium Pour Monsieur or Tremlet's Black Tie?

Which one do you like better, and why?

Mind you, this will slip into a 'drobe that already contains No. 88.

FM Geranium pour monsieur is mostly a minty fragrance for me. Even though it has geranium in it, the mint dominates during the entire progression.

Washington Tremlett Black Tie is like a lighter version of Montale Black Aoud. It doesn't assault the senses, unlike the Montale. It does share some similarities with C&S No. 88 too. I think it's the geranium note that they both share.
That said, Black Tie is more rosy than N0. 88. No. 88 is mostly about geranium and sandalwood.

I own both C&S No. 88 and Black Tie despite some minor similarities between the two.
GpM is something I don't like and is the only Malle that I don't have.

It depends on what you are after. If you wish for another rose fragrance it has to be Black Tie.
It's addition will not be redundant in a wardrobe that already has N0. 88.

I didn't like Geranium PM. I thought Black Tie was OK, but didn't wow me enough to want to buy it (I think C&S 88 is much better).

I'd go with Black Tie. Very elegant. Not a fan of mint.

I was close on Black Tie, but went with Caraceni 1913.

If you think it's too close to No. 88, and aren't bothered by the mint, go with Malle.

I don't like either enough to own them. IMO, not good candidates for a blind buy.
