I prefer slightly denser lavender compositions instead of lavender waters like Caldey Island..

C&S Oxford & Cambridge is top notch stuff...a dense, moist lavender creation with a base which feels alive.

Another fragrance which is must on these 'lavender' lists is Creeds Royal Scottish Lavender for its slick lavender, amber and spices accord...its like a superior, better balanced, and higher quality version of the uber powdery somewhat monotone Caron pour homme.

Mouchoir de Monsieur with lavender and vanilla base sound intriguing..

I am surprised no one here has mentioned Agua Lavanda by Puig.

Serge Lutens - Gris Clair
Nicolai - Pour Homme

For a fresh lavender summer scent, check out D'Orsay Arome 3 Tradition.
Antiheros by Etat Libre d'Orange is a fresh, clean lavender that is very reminiscent of cheap lavender soap, definitely worth a try, it's one of my personal favourite scents.

+1 on Agua Lavanda - wonderful stuff!

I might get ridiculed for this, but I'm a huge fan of lavender and I really, really enjoy Azzaro's Pure Lavender. There's not much to it, and I do realize it's obviously not "pure lavender," but it's a lovely fragrance none-the-less. It's one of those frags I like to spray on my sheets for it's aromatherapy-like traits. And cheap too!

Other than what's already mentioned, there's also a new one from L'Occitane called Eau de la Recolte Bleue - Lavender Harvest

No ridicule from me. Although it's not my favorite lavenders, it is quite a nice fragrance.

Royal Scottish Lavender is probably at the top of my list.

Well Mr. Gris Clair, you have some competition now in my drobe: Eau Illuminee - Parfums Del Rae

1. Creed Royal Scottish Lavender
2. Czech & Speake Oxford & Cambridge
^Those 2 are no doubt the pinnacle of lavender-dominated scents imo.

Honorable mention to 2 that have substantial lavender in them:
Chanel Platinum Egoiste
Acqua Di Parma Colonia

Surprised to see Plat Egoiste listed ... I get a half-decent lavender note which is much obfuscated by sage and rosemary, and a smoky cedar.

Esprit De Lavande is my fave for its purity and slight, crispy-sweet moment but is not readily available.

Lavandula is fantastic. It's warmer and more complex than the above. I rarely mention other products that incorporate a scent but The Lavandula classic candle is amazing.
Gris Clair for a serious pretty damn good lavender.

Rochas Man for a fun lavender

I should try Caron Pour Un Homme asap!

Pour un Homme de Caron
Old thread but I would have to suggest:

Caldey Island Lavender
Arome 3
Patou pour Homme Prive
Royal Scottish Lavender
Acqua di Parma Lavanda Tonica
Caron PuH
Du Coq
Encens Et Lavande is stunning, but I haven't tried the other Lutens lavenders. It's a note that I like but don't really go out of my way for.

Nancy Boy Signature Scent Body Spray. Concentrated combo of Lavender, Peppermint, and Rosemary. You can feel it tingling for a while after application. Simple, but I really like it.

Montale Sliver Aoud.........I love it

Slightly off-topic update:

The best lavender scent I ever sampled, NOT just in a fragrance but in general, belongs not to any perfume, but to a simple,
albeit high-end bar soap:

Nesti Dante, Le Deliziose-range, lavender-scented

Now THIS is a scent truly deserving to be released in EDC/EDT/EDP/extrait or any other regular fragrance strenght,
as it smells just flwaless to me, just linear, straight-ahead alavender, very clean, very unisex, yet at the same time very exquisite
and exclusive, suggesting through its fragrance the sensation, the feeling of being in the midst of a seemingly endless lavdender
field in the Provence

Caldey Island Lavender
C&S Oxford & Camebridge.

Yes.

The NancyBoy products in general are very good quality. For example, just smell their laundry detergents..

Caron pour un homme... by a mile

Have none of you ever heard of English Lavender by Atkinsons?????
Second, and close, is English Lavender by Yardley

Caron puH is a distant third, and way, way behind are all those "modern" interpretations of Lavender.
Lavender is one of the few notes with which I have a problem. That said, one of the very few lavender-prominent fragrances that I found fairly bearable is Nicolai Pour Homme.
My daughter recently doused our dog with lavender essential oil to keep fleas off. She (the dog) is the most animalic lavender I've yet encountered. I'll still stick with Nicolai Pour Homme.
Dammit! I wanted to be the first to say Arome 3.

How about Geir Ness.

Or Patou Prive?
Patou Pour Homme Prive
Oxford & Cambridge
A Taste of Heaven
I honestly can't say I've tried (or really wanted to try) many lavender based fragrances, not an appealing note to me.

Having said that, those who know me will know that I cannot get enough of Oxford & Cambridge! I love this stuff, in my top 5 easily. Unfortunately I find it hard to wear as the initial lavender/peppermint hit is too much for me and makes me feel a bit nauseous! A shame!

A Taste Of Heaven followed closely by Caron Pour Un Homme.

Atkinson - Lavender is quite herbal and a little bit sweet. It results in a pleasant country side feel.

I don't like lavander colognes. But Czech & Speake - Oxford and Cambridge very good and quality.
Xerjoff Dhofar currently. Light, soapy, high quality lavender.
Not because it is not good, but because it is not so well known: Santa Maria Novella's Lavanda Ambrata = Caron pour un Homme less its animalic vanilla replaced with a light(er) amber in the base. Also smells like a lighter variant of Arome 3.

Certainly not the best lavender, but worthy of more mention.

Taste of Heaven.

For a very naturalistic lavender scent - Caldey Island Lavender - recommended by Turin and I bought it for my mum today. Smells terrific.
Acca Kappa has a great lavender also - blue lavender.

I love A Taste of Heaven, but today I finally got to try Creed Royal Scottish Lavender - wow. This is one really nice fragrance IMO. The best lavender that I have tried so far. Now I am on a mission to get a bottle of this stuff!
