How about having 2 sales boards, 1 for men's & 1 for women's ?

I don't know about anyone else, but it would be a lot easier for me to look for frags in the sales forum (or swap forum, for that matter) if they were designated as men's or women's. Because a lot of women are now using the forum, and you can't tell that they are selling all women's frags, it means a lot of wasted time. Sometimes I'm looking for a women's frag, so it would be easier under those circumstances as well. All in all, I can't see any good reason not to do this. After all, in the BN directory, you can see the gender signs for the frag, and then you could look or search in the appropriate forum (a unisex one would be good too, again, consistent with the BN directory). Is there a snowball's chance in Hades that this will ever happen?

I like that idea Bigsly - it would save time trolling through every sales thread looking .

Or, have a way to designate each sales thread with a female or male symbol-- you already have thumbs-up or thumbs down etc., so you could add gender symbols. Unisex frags would use no symbol. Sales threads listing both male and female frags would also not use a gender designation.

You mean like this? See the in my post title? If the original poster uses one of these icons it will show up on the thread listing. I like this idea more than separate forums. All grant would have to do is add the icons.

Yes, Docman, that is exactly what I meant.

A male or female icon is spot on. If you have a male and female board, where would you post a unisex fragrance?

I personally see no need for this.

We have these two already, used next to peoples names:

Maybe use these two and find a unisex icon somewhere?

Well, since I buy all "genders" of frags it would be of no use to me, but I guess I could see the use of it to others. I kind of like perusing the lists anyway... I suppose if the sellers/swappers designated scents by their "intended" gender and unisex that might be more helpful than separating out the forums.

But whatever is of the most use to the most people is fine by me.

I do not see the need for this.

If I am looking for a particular fragrance, I use the search function. Many fragrances are now considered "unisex". Would that mean a third board for those people selling scents classified as such?

Who is to decide if a scent if feminine or masculine, anyway? Why get hung up on the gender thing?

Exactly, RHM.

Needlessly complicated, IMO.
