Creed Aubépine-Acacia (1965) Floral Oriental
------------------
Top: Bergamot, Galbanum Middle: Hawthorn, Mimosa (Acacia) Base: Ambergris
------------------

Aubépine-Acacia has a subtle drydown. After an initial burst of hawthorn, it settles into a lemon verbena for a few minutes, but be patient! On my skin, this then gives way to a beautiful marriage of hawthorn and Acacia farnesiana. The hawthorn is honey-like and a little reminiscent of almonds. This fragrance might appeal to women more than to a lot of men, but I don't think it's impossible for a confident man to wear.

Japon Noir Tom Ford

I haven't worn this EDP for over a year and had forgotten how much I love it. I have a number of TF scents and for me this is one of his best.

A beautiful summer morning. I went outside to pick up the newspapers, and the air smelled a lot like Creed Green Valley. That has to be my Sotd now.

Happy Summer to the Basnoters!

Notes: hawthorne, heliotrope, cardamom, apricot stone, iris, suede, musk

This has been getting quite a few wears this couple of weeks. Reminds me somewhat of a rounder less powdery Chanel Cuir de Russie. Excellent stuff.
