Tips to make a Lavendar/Palmarosa EO blend more rich

I hand make solid cocoa/shea based body care products and my favorite EO blend is Lavendar and Palmarosa (2:1). I am interested in a way to make this a bit longer lasting or more intense without increasing the % of EO in my product. Any ideas? I am just learning more about blending and want to make a more polished accord.

I also love Lemon/Lime/Grapefruit EO blend, but it is all top note and not a lot of staying power. any ideas??

As you know, you need to add some base notes and/or synthetics to amplify and prolong the top notes. What these are depends on your tastes and whether you are willing to add synthetics or want to stay all natural. Suggestions will depend on the answer to this question.

Thanks, Doc Elly, for the response. I would like to stay all natural for one particular product, but am not opposed to synthetic options for the rest of the line. Thanks!

For the all natural product, palmarosa is about as long-lasting as any cost-effective citrus/geranium/rose-like scent that you'll find, so your best bet would probably be to add some sort of fixative like benzoin or another resin/balsam to the base. You could also add a woody note, something like one of the cedar oils. Cedar is often paired with lavender. For the synthetics, there are many, many options such as lemonile, aurantiol, lilyall, etc. These can be more in the citrus oil or citrus flower direction, depending on where you want to go with your scent. These are just a few suggestions.

Lavender EO could be extended with rosewood, ho wood. Or you could try adding some Lavender absolute?

Ciao hirsh, to make this blend more rich and long lasting I would use either Tonka or Gaiac wood.
Gaiac is cheap and may fix it very well without changing the smell, Tonka will definitely enrich him, Tonka and Lavender makes a fougere accord. It may also fix it, although fixing perfumes is not what we are being said, see:
